Not necessarily true. Morales stood right in front of the quicker, more powerful and higher workrate Pacquiao in the first fight. But used his superior skills, size and toughness to win 7 rounds to 5.

I agree, few fighters will be busier as they get older and move up in weight.
I'll not however that the fight prior to Mayweather, Pacquiao threw 669 punches. That's 240 more punches he threw against a fighter in Algieri who was running, than he did against Mayweather.

The fight prior to that Pacquiao threw 563 in the Bradley rematch.
Prior to that 790 punches vs Rios.

Pacquiao is certainly still capable of a much higher workrate than 429.
Capable and required vs Mayweather but he didn't get it done.

Listen, I completely agree that Pacquiao should have thrown more the boxing world expected and wanted this as well. But you cannot take points off and discredit a fighter's performance based oh what you wanted to see, but didn't see. You have to give credit for what actually transpired. And the simple fact is that Floyd was neutralized.

Floyd was reduced to his lowest connect percentage on a guy that's 1) much smaller than him and 2) easy to find. Floyd usually tees off on his opponent during stretches of time throughout a fight. Did Floyd ever tee off on Pacquiao? NO!!! Not once. There was not one sequence during the whole fight did Floyd tee off on Pac. Again, was Floyd reduced? Absolutely.

However, Pacquiao DID tee off on Floyd. On 2 sequences, Pacquiao hurt Floyd and launched big scoring shots to the body as Floyd retreated to the ropes to cover up. These 2 sequences are the HIGHLIGHTS of the fight. If Floyd was dominating and on absolutely cruise control, then why was there OUTRIGHT PANIC in his corner?

Everyone's taking points off for what Pacquiao DIDN'T do, but not giving him credit for what he DID do.

Just like people still acting like Pacquiao wasn't injured and Floyd wasn't caught w/ a needle in his arm and being issued a TUE 17 days after the fight.

    :lol::rofl:patsch

For your information if a fighter is smaller and faster than you are, he's not easy to target and hit clean. Especially a fighter like Pacquiao who's a zig zagger and southpaw. Bigger fighters will usually have problems in targeting those types.

That played some in Mayweather's connect % vs Pacquiao. It was lower than it usually would be, but still he almost doubled Pacquiao's connect %, so what does that say about Pacquiao?

2 sequences? Are you for real???

You're going to take 2 sequences in a fight and say that equals neutralization? :?:patsch

The way I looked at it, Pacquiao should have made a mental note to have more sequences like you talked about.
2 sequences in a 12 round fight are not going to bank you enough rounds to win the fight.

Oh my gosh Pacquaio landed a punch and everyone got all excited. Then he flailed away at Floyd on the ropes and landed ****.
Is This is what you call teeing off?? http://giphy.com/gifs/no-floyd-mayweather-manny-pacquiao-3oEduZr3O04BtJNWSs

    I didn't see a single punch land:lol:

And Floyd wasn't caught with a needle his arm. He took an IV in the presence of a USADA official. That's been clearly stated and confirmed, so please argue facts and not make believe if you want to be taken seriously.

Because he can't KO Pac even if he tried! He can't. Pac can rock him. But Void is just too pussay to go toe-to-toe. There is no way in the world Fluid can put a hurting on Pac.He has to go the sissy route and run and hug to win. No doubt about it.

    Marquez can hurt Pac.
    Larios can hurt Pac.

Void, Mosley and Bradley, NO! too pussay!
    Fact!

How come you're not using excuses for Floyd? He was had a torn rotator cuff in the first Castillo fight, yet you don't take that into consideration... yet you try to criticize him off that fight and say Castillo was robbed....:huh

LOL at these sad little men. The salty tears are hilarious. I could eat popcorn and read their little girl whining all day it's that entertaining.

Pac got outboxed, easy. Keep crying.

PS - Can't wait for all Mayweather threads to be moved to Classic Forum. These clowns will have to find something else to do. Clutters the forum with garbage.

It's insanely pathetic and in many cases inaccurate, delusional and biased. Over the years I came to enjoy and appreciate Pacmans contributions to a sport I'm passionate about however my awareness of the sport is never compromised and deluded by my partisan feelings towards a particular fighter. I've decided that these folks either suffer form an immature case of insecurity with a sprinkle of denial or they are just outright physiologically challenged. It is what it is shrug....

My Latin brother what's your point here, regardless of your preferred fighting strategy what Floyd has done and accomplished in the ring should be respected....ask yourself this question can you execute and deliver what Floyd has in the ring do you have that discipline in your skill set....if so then throw stones to your hearts desire

Yet your unbiased ass won't acknowledge Pac's injury and Floyd's obvious doping and factor that into the fight?

^^^ I knw this was directed at someone else but I want to chime in. People don't acknowldge the injury because it is nothing but an excuse. Arum admitted that Pac's shoulder was injured since 2008. So he was able to fight fine with it for 7 years, and suddenly in the biggest fight of his career he get's schooled and lets down millions, and then it becomes a problem??

Further, there was no evidence during the fight that his shoulder was bothering him. You never saw Pac grimace, or wince in pain. There was no mention of it in the corner and HBO and showtime had their cameras in both corners. He was still winging right hooks with full extension well after the 4th round. Contrast this with eddie chambers, who after injuring his left arm, against literally never threw with his left hand again. He's was a truly one armed fighter.

And the doping thing is pure made up fiction that was product of shoddy and false journalism by Thomas Hauser who released a false story that Mayweather had been "caught" with an illegal IV with the truth was he took the IV under the supervision of the USADA. Both the USADA and NSAC have unequivocally indicated that he did nothing wrong. DLH has taken an IV before fights but no one calls him a doper becasue it would be stupid and they would look like fools.

My overall post bypasses the acknowledgement of injuries and substance abuse and soely focuses on the bouts dynamic and style skill set clash. One shouldn't find it that difficult to put these two in a hypothetical match up where both are on even playing grounds in their prime. When I do the aforementioned I don't see many scenarios where Manny wins...sorry just my opinion, what's frustrating and what causes me to throw verbal jabs is your inability to accept the fact that Many doesn't possess the high level apperception Floyd does so you resort to insulting anyone with a different opinion. Classic

I know I may be swinging the hypocritical side of things here but I'm only human and a thick headed hater is just that....a thick headed hater.

He felt 118-110 was embarrassing enough.
