Great to hear. Any chance we get to see this fight, even on you tube...? :bb

Here it is, not great quality film but the Dominican looks huge compared to ormond.

Remember him a little in the amateurs. WOn some Irish titles, however Ireland tends to be a little weak at the higher weights

I'm hoping this promotional group will come and run shows in Ireland. Do you think that's a possibility?

Whats going on with John Joe Nevin?
He had a brief flurry of activity at the back end of 2015 (admittedly against poor opposition), he talked about how he had got his act together etc etc ...then....nothing???

Rankings (like "world" titles) can be bought on any street corner. Just look at the Brits.

Still upset Lee lost to BJS, or was it Spike losing to Eubank that pushed you over the limit? Or was it the smile on the face of Frampton the Brit when he received his MBE of the Queen?

Upset? No, they're fighters. They fought, they lost.

But are you happy claiming 12 "world champions" that include Liam Smith winning a vacant belt against another sham, ballet dancer, that had a "ranking"?

C'mon man. In a world where Lee Haskins is a "world champion", it's no wonder so many people are watching MMA.

I'm sure I've heard mention of it, yeah - but their primary focus will always be the greater Boston (and by extension, New England) area since that is where the Dropkicks are from.

:thumbsup Was hoping they could start showcasing there Irish boxers soon in Ireland, and Ormond is the natural headline, but I suppose they are Armerican promoters looking to promote there.

Yeah but they have snapped up quite a few emerald islanders - Ormond, Spike, and I'm sure a few others. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if they started doing shows across the pond semi-regularly (and like I said there were rumblings of such from the horse's mouth, either on Twitter or in person at some recent show around here, can't recall).

Maybe at like a 4:1 or so ratio to shows here...meaning once, maybe twice a year over there?
