Anyone thinks otherwise ? apart from one here ? Judging by the footage of Greb sparring he was no stylist, not that it really matters but Sugar Ray Robinson in my opinion would have cut Harry to pieces, maybe by quick KO but more likely in a methodical and brutal slaying. greb has speed but well so does Robbo.

    ..... For's and against.

Greb :---, fast tough, very awkward, loves to fight dirty, has a very good chin, great brawler, but is lighted fisted and I doubt ever fought anyone with the skills of a prime Robinson Greb is not what we'd ever call a boxer, he is a brawler and a spoiler. There is no fight footage which has to be a negative. No way he can stop Robinson so his only way to win is by points decision, this fight is over 15 rounds.

Robinson : ---- Great speed, great power, size wise matches well with Greb, GREAT chin, every skill ever needed, he can fight outside in pure boxing style and also loves a brawl, he can fight many ways... Negatives ??? well there are none unless you guys can somehow find one.

Robinson wins this fight and the three rematches.

Greb looks fantastic in his workout footage. He had unbelievable speed, and his physique is alien.

This is the dream match for the ages.

Jesus, this place has gone down the sh*tter.

People judging a 300 fight veteran on some goofing around and handball footage he did late in his career.

yet you do a list and include Jeff Smith ahead of Darcy who proved he was better by results.

Here you go mate https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pf_P8ki-Y4 the guys may be right that he is messing around but still it's important historical footage and better than a kick in the teeth.

Thanks but I was actually being facetious ;) I meant fight footage. These Greb threads are fun but ultimately pointless without actual fight film to see.

There's no way of rating him against the likes of Hagler at middle or Ezzard Charles at light heavy without seeing him fight.

You'd have to hope he was better than his shadow boxing suggests.

That was supposed to be a working list. I was taking recommendations and adjustments. I am fascinated by that era below the heavies but make no claim to be an expert. That said, I do find Darcy a bit overrated, more of a what could have been than actually what was.

You can definitely tell that Greb is special by his workout footage alone.

    His hand speed isn't normal

A fight film would help tremendously though.

Who ever brutally slayed Greb? And how many out-boxed him? Robinson to KO Greb? I doubt it. Greb routinely survived much bigger and more powerful fighters than Robinson. Robinson lost to the only light-heavy he faced while Greb beat a slew of all-time great light-heavies. Robinson also either lost to or struggled with the best middleweights he fought, none of whom was as good as Greb. To say Robinson wins 4/4 is absurd.
