Except for the last three or four guys who tested positive in Russia ... like Oquendo, Durodola, Wach (and more than likely Browne) ... who were positive and then they weren't.

Oquendo's getting the next shot because the same promoter reported a false positive on him as well.

If they're going to test positive for asthma drugs ... they should pick a guys who actually has asthma. Oquendo tested positive for drug given to pregnant women or some **** like that.

Actually it might! The infamous trainer Panama Louis was caught crushing up asthma medicine in the water of his fighters. The theory is that the medication opens up a persons lungs so he can take in more oxygen, thus increasing stamina.

Has that ever been proven to be true in any sport, though (let alone in the very specific and unique context of boxing's mixed aerobic/anaerobic dynamic)? Not anecdotally or by urban legend, but via peer reviewed studies? It seems to me just a crackpot theory until it has been.

Stop being such a fanboy....most people didn't pick Browne to win (bookies certainly didn't), and now he comes up a drug cheat.

So what, its a shame that promoters allow drug testing companies to ruin boxers career!

Boxers should simply demand no drug tests :think

Well I picked him to win. And explain to me again how Clenbuterol could help Lucas Browne knock out Chagaev. It wasn't the enhanced stamina from the Clenbuterol that was the reason, after all he wasn't looking too hot in the 9th and 10th, so it failed miserably, that's right it was a perfectly placed massive right hand to the jaw that did it, one that Chag got sloppy and walked right in on. Browne has immense power I don't anyone can deny that, and yes even a fat old shot past it hepatitis riddled Chagaev can get caught and go down to a well placed punch from a KO artist, it had nothing to do with Clenbuterol.

The benefit and efficacy of clenbuterol on an athlete is debatable, the fact it's a banned substance or not is not up for debate. If Browne took clenbuterol whether you think it benefited him or not in the fight isn't the point, he believed it benefited him and that's cheating pure and simple.

But of course this is still not official. This is Russia and we all know that corruption is rife in Russia. The B sample needs to be tested before we condemn the man but people should be suspicious. He did look in his best shape ever and while it's true that Oquendo, Wach and Durodola had previously false positive tests that were later over turned this test was done by VADA not RUSADA as was the case with Wach and Durodola.

Then explain why did he need to take a banned substance in order to KO the fat old shot past it Chagaev? Funny you call Chagaev old, while Browne is only a year younger than him. His power is not that immense, he couldn't KO James Toney, not to mention he couldn't even drop Welliver. So, I can deny his immense power.

Yes you picked him to win, hence the reason you're throwing a tantrum over Browne coming up a cheat.:rofl

No I'm throwing a tantrum because I'm sick of seeing every fighter than goes to Russia that has the audacity to win or even come close, end up testing positive for something. You know I'm usually a huge defender of EE fighters and I still am, this isn't targeted at them, it's targeted at their corrupt governments. It was bull**** when it happened to Oquendo, Wach, Durodola and now Browne. There's clearly a pattern developing here, and I choose not to close my eyes to it.

If Wilder manages to KO Povetkin, I fully expect a doping positive in his near future as well. Could it be any more predictable.

In this case the testing was done by VADA, so very good chance Browne was indeed using, and probably did everything right but fell into the byproduct trap, which VADA can detect.
When I hear Clenbuterol and when VADA did the testing, I'm 80% positive (no pun intended) that he didn't use it, and no contaminated food either, but was actually blood doping or using (Dyn)EPO.
To trow every positive test in Russia now on the conspericy pile (certainly when done by VADA) is bull and counterproductive. Giving potential cheaters a sort of free pass to take any kinda shirt they like.

It was in Chechnya Robney, come on, do you really think they're above contaminating someone's food or drink? Kadyrov tortures and murders people, he's a former terrorist, he allows and supports honor killings, he fixes horse races, there's supposedly a video of him beheading a Russian soldier, he has a ****ing Murder List, and he's best buddies with Chagaev.

Do you really think him having someone spike Browne's food is that hard to believe?

I don't think it is, but much more like an outside possibility as that it should be the main goto place when anyone is caught on some s__t back there.
