There's no way this would fly today

Surprised it did then..... As it wasn't even a decade ago. But political correctness has gotten much worse since, and of course there's the internet SJW phenomenon to think about as well.

Cut that **** about national hero. He was fighting for Uzbekistan for a long long time and except couple of people including Kadyrov he doesn't have that fan base nor he is highly respected in Chechnya. Also that kind of victory will not bring any respect to Chagaev in Chechnya or Russia and Kadyrov knows it very well. So what's the point of doing that circus? What does it give?

When you speaking about gangs, Russia and corruption look at the current scandal with meldonium. American similar drug of this drug is not banned by WADA. So why are you putting this up?

The bookmakers REGULARLY get it spectacularly wrong.

Fury was 5/1 to beat Klitschko.

Unbeaten Big British KO machine David Price was 1/30 to beat unfancied US southpaw Tony Thompson ...

Leciester City were 5000/1 to win the Premier League.

AJ being a favourite over Martin when he is no more tested in the slightest is purely to do with British casual fans lumping on Joshua so they have to make Joshua short odds. It's not remotely refelective of the actual sporting chance on the evening which is as close to 50/50 as you get IMO.

Off topic - but such a dopey cliche to trot out Simply The Best :patsch

I usually don't buy into the conspiracy theories about positive tests, but this one stinks like conspiracy to me.

Browne had nothing to gain from using clen in the final week of promotion, and his prior test, a wk prior was negative.

Someone had to slip it into his meal or his drink.

True. If you were to pick the favorite in every single fight in the Kirk league, you'd only have about 70% right atm.

But it is 70%... so it still means that in 7 out of 10 cases the bookies are right when it comes to the harder to predict fights, and their track record on the "easy" ones is probably even much better.

Of course there are upsets. Who would have predicted that Wlad wouldn't trow punches, Price's chin was that bad over 3 years ago? And so that Leciester City has won the Premier League. Good for them, but who would have predicted that if they were deemed to be that bad? Did anyone put some decent money on that and got rich out of it?

So they are incidents. The one out of so many chances that would happen, and then suddenly it happens.

The whole show was weird. I watched it on a Moldova channel.

All the guys in the auditorium had the same beard as the Chechen leader (or gangster or whatever he is) Kadyrov ... they all wore the same t-shirts of the gym Kadyrov opened.

There were literally three woman in the entire place (Chagaev's wife and whoever she brought). Just thousands of guys with Kadyrov's beard and matching Kadyrov t-shirts ... and boys too young to grow beards (with the same shirts). They all seemed to take their cues from Kadyrov, who was both yelling instructions from Chagaev's corner and then running back to a little sofa he had in a VIP section on the floor and waving his arms for the fans to cheer.

And when Chagaev got knocked out ... you could tell Browne (who is a very well-spoken guy) was nervous about not wanting to celebrate ... because Kadyrov was beside himself. Like he didn't know how to react. Because Chagaev was HIS BOY.

I'm sure Browne left as quickly as possible. After the Oquendo fight, Oquendo and his team went to the airport and armed guards forced them back in the car and returned them to the arena before allowing them to leave.

Then Oquendo failed his test ... only to have the result tossed. Now Browne failed his test.

It's more than weird. It's got a very "fixed" vibe to it.

I can't recall a fight ever where no women were allowed, and everyone in the audience wore matching clothes and beards of a warlord who previously starred in a video cutting a guy's head off.

A little intimidating. Which made Browne's win all the more impressive.

I don't usually side with guys who test positive, but I'm not buying this for a minute.

Watching the fortitude of Browne and the courage shown in the fight, I guess it hit a soft spot for me hearing about this drug accusation.
Firstly, why would Browne vehemently deny taking, or even knowing about the drug in question if he had taken it. Because if he had - someone would know, it would come out eventually. Then, he wouldn't merely be a drug cheat who lost his belt, his entire sporting reputation would be tarnished forever. Who would risk that besides a depraved pathological liar.? Browne might be one for talking up a fight, and a gritty call out here and there, but to dope and then supposedly lie about it as we're being told, going against his friends, family, team, country.....just can't believe it, sorry. Also alot are commenting that, he was in Russia and should have been more mindful with the eating and drinking and what not. Jesus, is that what its come to? The boxer is now in the wrong because he 'let himself be drugged', when he's got a boxing title fight to worry about.

I base this on nothing cuz i know little about Browne but my gut feeling is he is innocent in this. I just have no trust in Russia having any morals when it comes to their sports people. Hell if the whole country has been banned from the olympics then its a clear sign of just how bad its gotten and how deep it goes.

If im honest i also dont believe his opponant was a clean athlete. If i believe they were criminal enough to somehow get to Browne or his tests then id have to believe they would be criminal enough to doctor tests of their own.

Sorry CST, I usually agree with you, but your agenda is spurting some **** here.

As a former bodybuilder, I can assure you, Clenbuterol is much more than an "asthma medication". If you want to cut weight quickly, dry out and boost your body temperature (so you are burning calories without doing jack ****) then Clen is the steroid you chase.
I have used it many times and I can assure you, if you use enough of it, it reverses what asthmatics use it for. You want heart palps with overusage, clen gon give it to ya. There is a reason why you cannot buy it over the counter in most developed countries. Hundreds of people die each year from not cycling it correctly. Depending on how you use the steroid, it can also boost your efficiency/stamina. My first 2 weeks on a cut cycle resulted in stronger lifts, with a deficient carb intake. You do the math.

This fight should be over turned. If Browne is too ****ing lazy to get in shape the legitimate way, then he should be punished.

Browne lost the belt and its back in Chagaev hands. How it happened we'll never know, but the result is 99.9% sure unless Browne can win some sort of court judgement vs. the WBA.
