Very good fight coming up...Blackwell v Eubank...would any Irish 160lb'er be competitive against these two? What do ye think?

Spike vs. Nick has the makings of a FOTY candidate (and would be a toss-up), but I doubt it ever comes off as they're mates & sparring partners.

Theres no nice way to say this - dont you think NB is ...er.... a bit ...er 'better' than Spike??
Don't get me wrong I like Spike a lot but realistically....

I expect NB to be a lot more competitive with Eubank than Spike was, certainly for more than the 3 competitive rounds Spike was able to manage.

GB are really pushing him....more photos than all their other prospects put together!!
(He still gets beat by cej or nb though, Marty...as of today anyway..)

They have spoken about coming to Ireland but support in Boston is unreal there was about 1000 people queuing to get in at door opening half 7 first fight wasn't till 8. Bit of a risk coming to Ireland unless they combine boxing with concert and bring in some Dropkick Murphy fans at same time 👍

Spike reckons Blackwell has beatings of Eubank and after seeing him spar with spike and Buglioni I think he has a good chance 👍

Marty reckons YOU are a match for these guys Luke! Is the poor boy dreaming or is there a chance he could be right? What do you think?

Also get a load of Quigs nickname " El animal". Now that's what you need - a Spanish nickname! I'd be happy to suggest a few if you like...:p :thumbsup

(Fwiw I'm backing Nick to nick it in a war)

id say luke will be ready for these 2 by the end of the year... but first things first ... doran will be a tough fite for him but I fully expect luke to stop doran late... by the way ur getting eubank and Blackwell at 11/5 to last the distance.... that's a good bet:good

I dunno...of the half a dozen opponents BJS fought on that run of two years (Dec '12 until Nov '14) I'd say there is little separating the bunch. Some did better h2h against BJS and won more rounds than others, but all had some degree of respectable success even in clear defeat and if you did a tourney each would beat at least one from the others h2h; styles make fights.

Spike might be near the bottom of the bunch along with Hall but I'd give either a decent shot with Blandamura and not hate their chances with Ryder or Blackwell either. (meanwhile Eubank matches up well against either but I could see him losing to Blackwell here..or even the Gorilla)

Yes....very good odds available for this fight. I'm no big gambler but I must get to a bookies tomorrow. Nick can win this one I feel...but he will need to be at his best...use his jab and not get hit with silly uppercuts....

Checked Oddschecker and you can get Luke at 13/9 to beat Doran. Think there could be a few quid to be won here.

Lads I've honestly never felt better physically or mentally and just had a good six rounds fight in bank everything going perfect sparring best I ever have. First fight I had one hand and was all over place because of that, this time will be different result 👊
