I'm reading that clenbuterol leaves a person's system pretty quickly...so I could see Browne thinking he could get away with it and screwing up.

Meh, he may not be tied up with Isis but he is a different flavor/sect of Islamic extremist. They don't have a monopoly on it.

I don't think so. Obviosuly Ramzan is an extremist from a Western point of view, because he is the type of a 3rd world dictator but he is not an Islamic fundamentalist. His father fought against Islamic extremists (named Mujahideens back then) and was assasinated by them so Ramzan hates them with a passion, no matter what they are called.

No. Kadyrov is the son of a radical imam who declared jihad on the Russians in a separatist conflict wherein most of the world characterizes their side as having been terrorists (with the Chechens - all Muslim - versus the godless Russians) and in which Ramzan himself was a terrorist militia leader whose past was glossed over - and path to a political career paved- after both sides reached a military stalemate resulting in Chechnya gaining independence and ultimately allying with Moscow against some of their neighbors.

So like I said, just because there happens to be infighting between his people and other brands of Muslim extremists doesn't make them not.

I can defend Assad, Mubarak, Hussein and even Qaddafi, because despite what many in the West believe, they were all essentially secular leaders many of whom were even Socialists (not the most devout), but Kadyrov is a bridge too far, Russia's support for him is the equivalent of how the US supported Bin Laden and turned a blind eye to his militant fundamentalism because he was "our guy" or even our support for the barbaric Saudi Royal family, who are Wahhabist extremist themselves.

His father was a Muslim religious leader, that is true. But you say he declared jihad on Russians like he wanted to wage a holy war against Christians/atheists, but the truth is that he was fighting for the independence of Chechnya for nationalist/separatist reasons, that was his main motive and not Islamic extremism. Ramzan is a conservative Muslim, he believes in Sharia law and stuff like that, but he is definietely not as extreme in that sense as ISIS.

Yes but why did/does Chechnya want to be independent of Russia? Doesn't have anything to do with the atheist vs. Muslim tensions which have been prevalent since the Russian federation was founded between them and nearly every Islamic-majority former Soviet territory? :think

It was hardly a 100% secular matter.
