Come now you can play that game either way.

He could see Marciano's punches coming, too, and he lost 17 of the 23 rounds they fought and got knocked out.

To be fair to Charles Harold Johnson only won by split decision. From what I've seen I thought it could've gone either way. It wasn't like Johnson dominated him. Charles said he underestimated Nino and had a bad night and wanted a rematch. Which Nino never gave him.

We're not talking prime Charles, we're talking old, past his best, .50 Charles.

I seem to remember it was a chess match, Johnson won behind the jab.

Valdes beat him fair and square.

The difference is that Marciano didn’t throw one punch at a time; he hit him with everything except his corner stool.

Marciano gave a punch output that would have stood scrutiny in a welterweight title fight, and won on pure attrition.

That is why Marciano stopped him.

It was but still saw Charles doing enough to get a nod but it could've gone either way. Valdes did but I find it odd why he didn't give Charles a rematch to further cement his place as no.1 contender.

You have to drop this past his best, .50 Charles sound bite.

Charles was the current #1 contender, and he went on to give two of the best fights of his career.

Let’s not make him out to be some lame duck.

I could stop with the soundbite.

But he was past his best and did have a 0.50 record at that point. How you interpret that is up to you.

He was also a former LHW fighter who had previously been knocked out and would go on ton to get knocked out again.

You nee do accept the reality of what we're dealing with here.

A 24 year old champion who no longer attacks behind a jab and doesn't rely as much on defence against a shop worn former LHW opponent who's had way to many ring wars for a man of his age.

Could Douglas use his physicality to keep Tyson at bay until he tired? Yes, 100% fact. Could Charles do the same? Not in a month of Sundays, 100% opinion.

The Marciano LOSSES were the two BEST fights of Ezzard Charles' career?

Losing 17 of 23 rounds against Marciano were the two best fights of Charles' career?

Getting knocked out in a fight where he'd won one round was one of the best fights of Ezzard Charles' career.

Dude, you are so off base with this it's weird.

And Mike Tyson didn't throw punches?

Here is Marciano throwing every everything at Charles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24dduWIzTHM

Here is Tyson throwing everything at Pinklon Thomas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yevFS3vD9aU

Tyson would handle Ezzard Charles just fine.

Would you regard the loss to Lewis, as being one of the better performances of Vitally Klitschko’s career?
