    Very simple question.

List 3 things you like about Commander 'Vander, then list 3 you don't.
Can be anything about the man, inside the ring and outside it.

The one and only rule is that it must be 3 for and 3 against. Be as ridiculous as you like.

    Ready, set, go!

Holyfield has stated before that he doesn't really lose fights, he just doesn't get decisions....Ruiz, Ibragimov, Byrd, Donald....all that stuff.

    1. Name. Who'd need a nickname when your real name's that cool?
    2. Style. So aesthetically pleasing.
    3. Heart and courage in taking on bigger men and fighting hard.

    1. Didn't his first wife Paulette divorce him for violence? If so then that.
    2. The constant evangelical praising of the lord. Boring. And hypocritical when he cheated in his preparation for fights, on women
    3. The Holy Warrior clothes range. Nauseating.

    1. His fighting spirit
    2. His roughhousing
    3. His moustache (Pre-baldness, afterwards he looked like a hobo)

    1. Not retiring after the Lewis fights
    2. Blowing all of his money away
    3. Religious gibberish

I don't know about that. He's fairly consistent, I think. He doesn't often like to comment or second-guess the judges' decisions. He doesn't make firm claims one way or the other, from what I saw.
I mean, he griped far less about being robbed than most fighters did, and, yes, he didn't concede defeat easily either. He tended to suggest that was the judges' job, not his.
Most fighters gripe more than Holyfield did.

    1. He was a real warrior in the ring.
    2. He beat Tyson twice. Watching my personal all-time favorite Heavyweight beat one of my least favorite is still a joy to watch even 20 years later.
    3. His unabashed Religious beliefs. Didn't matter if I agreed with them or not, I just enjoy how it got people riled up.

    Dislikes
    1. Not retiring after the Toney fight. Actually I would have preferred if he retired after the Lewis fights.
    2. Fathering 1/2 the world's population. A devout Christian should try to keep it in their pants.
    3. Not stopping Ruiz in their first fight. Ruiz style sucked so much it actually took years off of my life having to watch him fight. Evander could have stopped that.
