    An "on" Giardello outfoxes Lausse....but takes punishment along the way. I'm referring here to a mature, seasoned Giardello from the years 1960 thru '64....the younger, more impetuous Joey might have been in more danger of being stopped if he came into the fight infatuated with his own respectable right hand......Lausse was far superior as a puncher of course.

    Many of those MW's in the '58-'65 range could beat each other on a given nite (SRR was still trudging on, but numerous young lions could beat him).

    The best Giardello wins a close but unanimous decision.

    I think Giardello would step away from Lausse's left and take a decision, in a close fight due to Lausse's hustle.
