Stiverne was inconsistent but a champ and he dominated Arreloa 2x to say Povetkin is the first "live body" is a bit of a stretch. I can understand being overly critical of the guy because of your predetermined dislike for him but give credit where its due .it shows integrity
Based on what? The way that he crushes rusty tin cans? His only decent opponent was Stiverne. Meanwhile, Povetkin has beaten Byrd, Chambers, Chagaev, Perez, and Takam. That's a much better record. Their power is probably similar and Povetkin's technique is better too. I will be amazed if Wilder beats Povetkin. It would be like that time Lamon Brewster knocked out Wladimir Klitschko.
Yes this is a test for Wilder for sure. I'm still not sold on Wilder. Povetkin just has to make sure he does not get caught early and go to the body. Wilder has punching power for sure but I see a lot of holes in his game. WIlder does not use his size well. Povetkin is a solid fighter with underrated punching power. I don't see Wilder going into Russia and winning this fight. But if he does it will be a big win for him. Wilder has to win by early KO or he is in trouble.
The mighty paws of Sconiers and Nichols dropped Wilder heavily..... But those guys were ATG,so what can this Povetkin guy possibly do?
Arreola hasn't really beatean any top 20 hw, and finally when he step up against Vitali Klitschko he took a hell of a beating. So Stivernes victories over Arreola isn't that impressive. Stiverne got also KO'd by journeyman Demetree King and dropped by Rossy, just lazy fat **** with a bit of boxing skills nothing else he's ever been.
Dude I can name 10 heavyweights that will hammer Povetkin. **** is wrong with you people and this fat dude.patsch
So name them. I can see only Tyson Fury beat Povetkin atm. Wlad can't beat Povetkin without illegal tactics/clinching, in fair ring Povetkin would beat Wlad.
