This what I noticed about Danny. He has a very good chin but he cuts and swells easily. And when a opponent starts to touch him even though his chin is good but the cuts and swelling start to make him hesitate and then you can dictate the fight your way. I'm assuming it stings to get hit on a cut or swollen eye. So it will make the fighter gun shy and in a defensive posture where you can dictate your tempo to a possible win.

Ain't nothing wrong with Mr.Danny Garcia. He's one of the best fighters at 147 and cleaned out 40 (Was also lineal there). Undefeated.

    He's someone Floyd should fight.

Interestingly enough when Danny fought the legend Morales it seemed he tried to push the envelope because of his physical advantages and it really made him compromise his technical ability with that said it was morales ha!

I agree man Garcia does nothing special but that's exactly what makes him layered and multidimensional....his abilities are subtle yet effective

To say Marquez' adjustment level is subpar is laughable.
I'm not even going to bother to debate you on that issue only to say that we're talking about a fighter who's was knocked on his ass three times the first round he faced Pacquiao and went on to school Pacquiao rounds 3 to 12.
We're talking about a fighter that dealt with and made adjustments in each of the fights that he fought Pacquiao in.

Fight 3 Roach looked at the blueprint that Mayweather used against Marquez and he sent Pacquiao out to be as patient and wait on Marquez attempting to take away Marquez' strenghth, his ability to counter.
What Marquez did to that was lure Pacquiao. Marquez lead with jabs or lead to Pacquiao's midsection. Probing and knowing that Pacquiao would attempt to counter him. Only when Pacquiao tried to counter, Marquez was waiting for it and already was stepping to his left and unloading the right hand re-countering Pacquiao.

Marquez boxed, and brawled with Pacquiao and got the better of all of it.

You don't beat a fighter as quick, fast, and as good as Manny Pacquiao is with both his hands and feet if you're not one capable of making adjustments and at the very highest level.

As for the patience you talk about with Garcia, how would that benefit him vs Mayweather?

Mayweather is quicker and faster and has the reach on Garcia, how will patience help in under those circumstances?

What does Garcia do better than Mayweather that patience will help him in executing?

Maidana's reach was similar to Mayweather and his awkwardness with the way he loops his shot was something that the shoulder roll of Mayweather wasn't as effective against that long and looping shot.
The unconventional style is what can expose weaknesses in Mayweather's shoulder roll.

Danny Garcia is the poster boy for conventional.
Made to order for the strenghths of Mayweather imo.

I gotcha there's no need to entertain The Marquez thought it's something I noticed long ago during the first fight with PAC he changed nothing he just remained consistent with his offensive delivery knowing he could use his counter punching and timing to see his way through he did nothing to change the fact that he was still getting tagged with the straight left. Marquez simple attempted to mitigate its impact and shock value. I hate to play devils advocate here but interpretation of adjustment is slightly different than mine, Marquez never gave manny a different view he simply decided to counter act it by submitting and entrusting the remainder of the fight with his well schooled offense which worked well for him.

What did you expect Marquez to do vs Pacquiao?
They're both almost identical in height and reach.
Pacquiao is quicker and faster, throws blurs of combinations, and you expect Marquez to adjust to the point where he doesn't get hit?

We're talking about one of the most offensive herky jerk, offensive minded, explosive dynamo in boxing history in Manny Pacquiao, and you're saying the slower fighter of both hand and feet (Marquez) shouldn't be getting hit against him? :patsch

You're either trolling or think you know more about boxing than you really know and are talking out of your ass.

No trolling here man you seem to twist my words to fit your angry agenda....when did I ever say he wasn't supposed to be getting hit? Lol I said his adjustments where more like compromises, concessions that Marquez negotiated on his own to lessen the effectiveness of mannys explosive attack. Marquez never fully adjusted by changing the pace of the fight he never reposition himself and didn't do much to change line of sight, never provided side to side later movement rarely attempted to parry he basically fought fire with fire and adjusted the shock value coming from mannys punches by bracing better. Sorry if this angers you man that someone is providing a different view.....take a look at the baby bull fight to truly see what I'm trying to make clear here, no adjustment was made just basically Marquez cream rising to the top with a crisper offense.

You can also revisit the Floyd fight where Marquez attempted to out counter one the this generations greatest counter punchers....not the best example of a top adjuster imo

Mayweather nutswingers are of your mindset.

The Mayweather fight isn't one to properly judge Marquez.
Not only was Marquez moving up two weight divisions, but he also didn't hold any physical advantage over Mayweather.
    NONE!
Height, reach, quickness, speed, strenghth, all went to Mayweather.

How does one make adjustments when you're under that 8 ball????

You tell me what Marquez could have done differently vs Mayweather under those circumstance.

Seriously, how do you counter a fighter who's that much quicker and faster than you are? A fighter with his lenghth that all he has to do is lean back and he's out of the reach of Marquez.

Marquez could have pressed the issue and got to Mayweather's chest.
Chest warfare, only Mayweather being the bigger fightger is to strong.
    Starting to get the picture.

I can tell you what Marquez would have done to Mayweather had he held every physical advantage over him........

Marquez would have brutalized Mayweather under those conditions, no if's, and's, or but's!!!!!

Ever wonder why Mayweather doesn't fight fighters his height with speed? :hey

Let me tell you, when the other guy is that much quicker and faster than you are, you the slower guy have to be that much more boxistically skilled than he is to compensate.
Mayweather has been unwilling to put his skills to the test against a fighter his height and reach that a little quicker and a little faster than he is.
Mayweather has had the opportunity to do so, but he's ducked Amir Khan at every opportunity the fight was there to be made.

Couldn't a gofundme type account be set up? Everyone donate a certain amount if Floyd will agree to sign a contract and never return.

It's unfortunate that this discussion digressed to a barrage of mayweather hate I merely made one mention of him involved in a sole example and you conveniently bypass everything and start ranting off about your dislike of Floyd. No ones asking you to accept Floyd as your lord and savior so relax and as I mentioned earlier I'm not a huge supporter but I respect his craft. Again it is what it is I've been in and around boxing since I was a pup trained for years at kingsway with former champ Joe snake ingrasami in Hell's Kitchen New York it was simply a way of life and fitness for me. The fact that you have such a level of passion disallows you to absorb a different perspective or even recognize my points tells me your an good fan but not as "involved" as I was/am

Khan is faster, but Floyd is much more skilled than him. I don't know if Khan's advantages would negate the difference in ring IQ.
