Should Barrera foul first and early?

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Son Of Goosen, Mar 24, 2016.

  1. Should he beat Ward to the punch I mean head and get the first head butt in? Use Wards game plan against him?

I was thinking low blow Ward... That's the only way he brings Ward to his level.

Yes. Something to really upset Ward.

    Boxed Ears, for example.

If Ward gets close, he needs to assert his size advantage and physical strength. Rough him up and make it dirty once or twice, even though it will inevitably be met with a stern warning.

Maybe better tactic would be retaliate instantly after Wards first head butt attack.

He should lowblow Jack Reiss and Ward until both are unconscious.

Does anyone know who the referee will be? Can't imagine any opponent agreeing with Reiss as the referee though, in any fight and certainly not fighting Ward :!:

I actually wouldn't mind seeing Ward fouled, I want to see him handle the adversity.

Regardless of what happens Barrera isn't getting a decision in Oakland, never, not happening so yes, he should do everything to annoy, frustrate, hurt and damage Ward.

Let the ref take a couple of points because it isn't going to make much difference if it goes 12.

Barrera had his eye ripped up billy goat style 8 months ago when he fought 21-7 journeyman Hakim Zoulikha who actually caused him problems and gave him a hard night's work.

  15. Watch the Bika fight. Ward was crying to the ref looking for help when he was given a taste of his own medicine.

Ward always gets that butt in early to throw his opponent off so he is focused on not getting butted again rather than sticking to the game plan. I want to see the same happen to Ward before Ward does it to Barrera.
