    It's a pity Hans isn't on here to sing the praises of Simmons and tell us all how he's packing British iron inspite of being KO'd by Dickinson and that he'll school and KO Usyk.:lol:

    You should know very well that amateur accolades does not equate to professional success. And where are these amateurs you speak of now? Last I checked, Joshua is undefeated as a pro...

    It's as close to pro as you're going to get, and if Nistor can stop AJ in the ams with headgear on, but lose to and not be able to hurt Usyk without headgear on, that is somewhat significant whether you want to admit it or not.

    Neither do I.Good point,mate! Sure,it will be only his 10th fight at the pros,but Usky is not getting younger and time may be very precious for him within the next few upcomming years.
    I dont mind him to take on a good journeyman before his title shot,but like you I cant really see the point of taking Simmons.
    There are better options out there for Usyk.A southpaw,or a durable toughman like Abdoul so that Usyk can test the waters of 12 rounds without too much risk.

    Recent interview with Usyk's trainer James Ali Bashir says he thinks Usyk will move up to heavy in the future when he's finished his business at CW, when Usyk is aged 31 or 32.

    Usyk is suppose to meet the winner of Glowacki-Cunningham but that won't happen until July-August and Usyk hasn't fought since December so a tune up, even a low level one, isn't a big deal.

    Usyk's competition the last few fights have been a let down, I think he started out at a nice pace though, but if he does face the Glowacki-Cunningham winner this summer, after just 10 fights, that would be impressive.

    If that fight takes place then Glowacki gets stripped, think he already may have been so Usyk will be fighting someone else for the vacant strap.

    He's no prospect. He fought in WSB and his opposition hasn't progressed since Venter, which he fought 1.5 years ago.
