And I'm not basing the shaky whiskers comment on the Whyte match, I'm basing it on the fact that he was dropped by Whyte in the ams, stopped and hurt bad by Nistor, rocked several times by Mezhidov, hurt by Savon, and rocked a few times by Cammerelle. His chin is not good at all.

 

Barrera has never fought at this level before or in such a hostile environment. Firstly he has to bridge the gap to get over that and secondly he hasn't ever been past 8 rounds before so if the occasion and the hostile atmosphere gets to him his gas tanks are going to deplete more quickly, especially more so if things aren't going his way in the fight. Ward demoralizes and tires out his opponents with all that holding he does - they get frustrated because they find it hard to catch him clean because he'll either grab a hold of them like a gay octopus, duck his head down to knee or ankle level or stiff-arm them to keep them at range. Barrera is going to be fighting Ward, Ward's ref and the crowd.

 

What as opposed to having 14 half dead has beens who showed up for an easy paycheck put in front of him to pummel, the fighters he faced in the amateurs were levels above anyone he's faced as a pro, AJ in the ams is the reality, AJ in the pros isn't, its a carefully orchestrated façade by Eddie Hearn to make AJ into a Tyson like hypejob, Wilder would perform just as well if not better against all of his subpar competition as a pro.

 

I didn't bring it up, as far as Medzhidov goes, he can punch but he's about Whyte level as far as power goes, maybe less, it's not overwhelming or anything.

Regardless, he lost to all of the guys and got gifts, Martin will punish him everytime he AJ gets near him. This won't end well for AJ, there will be tears.:crybaby
