Go knockout a 147 fighter then to prove your worth. Oh, yeah...

GGG is not a big 160, he's smaller than most top fighters there. There is a reason he has come in at 165 for the 30 day weigh in against Lemieux and 164 for Wade. For Lemieux he even put on half a pound between that and the 7 day weigh in. He simply stays in shape between fights rather than eating himself up to way over his fighting weight. Whether he could or couldn't make 155 is 100% irrelevant, the middleweight division is 160, end of.

Agreed, it's not the kind of sentiment worthy of a champion. It implies a kind of passive aggressive defeatist attitude like "Why should I do anything? Why should I ever try to please the fans?"

That's what haters do, but he's not getting criticized because it's just haters being haters, he's getting criticized across the board by majority of the fandom because of his actions.

An easy way to escape it though is to claim that people personally have some sort of problem with him and will never give him props so why do I have to listen?

I think there are situations where fighters genuinely are just hated and are not getting their fair shake no matter what they do, but it doesn't mean all critique is unfounded the same way and it shouldn't be discounted under the same pretense.

Truth...I was privileged to have seen the best of Boxing when there was only one belt and Fighters gave what the fans want...no Bull**** Catchweight or trying to manipulate the Fights to get an advantage...even Mexican Fan's know Canelo is a disgrace and if he does not fight Golovkin next at 160 he will lose all of the bit of credibility he has left....He has the Middleweight belt for God sake defend it at Middleweight and restore some credibility.l!!!

    In a normal world 160 + 0 = Middleweight !

GGG should have to lose Zero pounds at 160 Lbs !

    Unless you're mentally challenged, Middleweight = 155 through 160.:deal
