Jonathan Dinong vs. Jared Teer, 4 rounds @ light middleweight

 

Southpaw versus southpaw here; Teer several inches taller but the Filipino-Hawaiian is showing a huge edge in class already. Nice jab placement, use of the forearm-parry, and some meaty right hooks on the body.

 

Dinong is very comfortable slipping & landing in the pocket.

 

20-18 Dinong, only question now is whether he can stop Teer.

Coin flip at this point. Depends on whether he picks up the pace (or Teer makes a mistake).

 

What are you confused about? That seem high or low?

This is his sophomore bout.

If anything 739 of 2000 active boxers at 154lbs is a bit high, I'd say...but if he keeps looking this impressive he'll climb up the rankings (the real ones) legitimately anyway.

 

Teer's tough and awkward, but has never in his life committed 100% to boxing. He was in the military, and is now a substitute teacher, and has a far more extensive background in Muay Thai kickboxing (explaining the awkwardness) than in straight pugilism. He is here to lose - but survive, and give Dinong some rounds - and his body language doesn't suggest that he believes any different.
