I think 34 y/o Barrera is hyped way too much for what he has done @ 175. Indeed, he's a big 175 pounder but he wasn't tested at 175 against tough competition to see what he's truly capable of doing.

I'd understand the hype of this fight if Ward was to take someone like Fonfara, Alvarez or Beterbiev but he's fighting an untested 34 y/o prospect.

Ward is guna look very good tonight winning a cofortable points win. Barrerea will be there trying to be threatening but will be outboxed and frustrated. Hope im wrong, wana see him lose to Berrara but cant see it.

Absolutely agree. Popular opinion of Barrera seems to have crept up every day via some sort of Chinese whispers. Initially he was accurately seen as a decent enough tune up, now he's the Cuban Michael Spinks.

Ward's personal referee, judges, boxing commission, etc., will take care of Barrera for him.................

Barrera was thought highly of before this fight was signed. He's been in the spotlight for a lot of people but was always overshadowed by Beterbiev. He's too green to be taking this fight but many people thought he would be stepping up to this level in the near future regardless.

That's a solid move. I will try and watch every fight but Ward is the absolute opposite of an inspiring figure.

well I haven't watched as much on Barrera as I should to make a informed call, however, Ward is elite whether you hate him or not. He has serious skills regardless to his rough house tactics. He is moving up 7lbs which is a fair bit but not unheard of for a skilled fighter.

I would be surprised if Ward doesn't win.

Barrera tends to gas in the lately rounds, plus he never passed of 8 rounds in his whole career.

Ward is gonna stab Barrera's body with a nice crisp jab till he will collapse.

As I said, Ward is gonna do what he supposed to do in the ring. Anyway he needs another fight before Kovalev. Fonfara or Beterbiev would be good fights for Ward before Kovalev.
