I never seen Barrera fight but it's Ward moving up in weight vs a natural, it might get interesting fully knowing ward has not fought in a while.
No, Ward's natural weight is 175 as he was in the amateurs......................It will be impossible for Barrera to beat Ward in Ward's home town, Ward has his personal referee there to protect him, his judges to guarantee him a decision, his boxing commission to back his personal judges and referee up. Ward does not believe in a level playing field.................
barrera gets thoroughly dominated, has average handspeed and footpeed. the only thing I thought would've troubled ward was his height but watching them at the weigh in, ward actually looks like the taller one.
Ward would have to cut off both his legs and fracture both his hands for it to be a level playing field, he's that damn good.
Its Wards first real test since years. He has to prove that he has something left. It was enough for Paul Smith... But is it still enough for a hard punching LHW with good amateur-background? Could be closer than most people think.
