Kovalev speaks very highly of him

GGG is also clearly the more skilled guy

Would be a amazing fight between these 2 guys

Kovalev even admits GGG hits harder

Its well documented that GGG had kovalev out on his feet and knocked him down

Abel Sanchez in the past has revealed stories of Golovkin’s sparring sessions with well-known top class fighters. One of the most famous incidents dealt with Sergey Kovalev. Sanchez described the encounter to Hustleboss.com as a mismatch. He stated, “He [Kovalev] was one of the sparring partners that we had. He was with me for about a year and a half. Really Kovalev was afraid of Golovkin when he was in the ring. I couldn’t spar him too much because he showed too much respect for Golovkin. He just fell apart in their with Golovkin.”

Kovalev was meant to come to camp but avoided GGG

These are facts it did happen

Unifying 175 would be a far greater achievement. There won't be any time to do it if he continues to waste his career away at160

I could see GGG going up if he wants to in 2017

The only fight that would take GGG to the brink is Kovalev

This is nothing new, it's been common knowledge that Golovkin was the superior fighter when they sparred. I think Kovalev has improved since then though. He went from splitting a decision with Boone and drawing with Grover Young to KOing Boone in 2 and becoming the best fighter at light heavy.

Just because Golovkin got the better back then doesn't mean it would be the same now.

Abel Sanchez is a proven liar. Odds are Kovalev wasn't allowed near 50 feet of Golovkin for fear of killing another man.

Trolling aside, GGG is obviously too small to contend at 175. He doesn't have the frame for it. I mean even Canelo fighting at 155 is bigger than him between fights.

Yes because Golovkin doesn't hit half as hard as Kovalev.
