The relevant question here is not how many training sessions Luke has....it's how many fights. Very few of today's boxers are active enough. 2 or 3 fights per year is regarded as normal now. This is insane ..and one of the biggest factors damaging boxing today.

I think as long as he gets the win next, he can look forward to bigger fights in the future:deal

Speaking of which, how much has been tweaked in his game to ensure the rematch goes differently than his last encounter with Doran on Prizefighter? :think

By rights Luke and Doran should have about ten fights between them sinc their meeting last Val day. The have ..what... A fight or two each in the intervening year. Inactivity is a cancer killing boxing.

i totally agree it is becoming a joke, he fought better opposition in the wsb 5 years ago than he is facing now, they are building a record not a fighter and its frustrating

the guy he fought today was out of shape, worked as a painter by day , its a joke for a guy of quigleys class to be facing someone like that now

Good for Quigs - as for the men of 1916 they'd be turning in their graves if they could see what and who they wasted their lives for...:-(

I knowits not an Irish boxer but I feel I must mention Nick Blackwell today. Hope he makes a full and speedy recovery.
    .

Also Im disgusted with Sky - I just watched Sky /sports News - 4th or 5th item was Kell Brook - - NO MENTION AT ALL of the Eubank-Blackwell British Middleweight title fight, and no mention AT ALL of Blackwells condition. This from an English TV outfit.

This is not just an 'oversight'. I find this neglect deeply offensive. Anyone of the thousands of Irish Sky subscribers - of which I am one, agree?

the good news is that there doesn't appear to be need for an operation on the brain bleed
