It's obvious that Canelo won't fight Golovkin any time soon. I wonder if WBC will strip Canelo - their mexican golden goose title holder ?:think

Also they would elevate Golovkin @ the rank of full champion or he'd have to fight Heiland or Eubank Jr ?

    Flashy

this time WBC have no choice to strip him if he does not agree to the fight its all written down on paper so what ever happens this time he is either gonna man up and take the fight or he gets stripped

    Not happening

    GGG can't sell

It's a smart business decision keeping Canelo champion

yeah, I see 2 things happening: GGG accepting to step aside for good money which is ok to get paid for free or if WBC doesn't strip Canelo, K2 would have to move this masquerade to the court.

GGG's popularity is increasing. Even the mexican boxing fans likes him.

Fans won't be so accepting if Wade turns out to be an easy conquest. WBC is not stripping Canelo and if that's GGG's plan to get a free belt then they are ****ing up.

:D I agree that making Canelo forfeit the belt if he refuses to fight GGG is the right choice.

:rofl Unfortunately... I 'm not sure that's gonna happen.

    1. O$CAR may have Canelo come up with an "injury" delaying signing with GGG.

    2. Canelo could lose to Kahn... with a rematch cause pushing GGG into a delay.

    3. fill in the blank... :p

Boxing is not the cleanest sport around... so anything may happen.

Exactly Mexican fans appreciate a FIGHTER!! like Gennady They have turned on Canelo aptly naming him El Pollo Canelo
As for the WBC doing the right thing & stripping El Pollo ?? Why would they suddenly become legitimate?? They have always been corrupt

    Absolute Bull Feces !!

Everyone knows the WBC will not strip Canelo. They've always been corrupt

No Gennady's plan is to get that red headed chicken to grow a set be a MAN!! sign a contract & fight at the legitimate weight of 160 pound limit

Problem is El Pollo Canelo isn't a MAN!! He isn't a champion.
He is nothing but a FAKE!! & a COWARD!!! Everyone knows who the REAL Middleweight Champion is ,,,,,,,,,,

    !!!!!!!!!GENNADY GGG GOLOVKIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:admin Not sure how you determined that the Fans will NOT accept Canelo forfeiting the belt ?

:patsch How the HELL do you come up with GGG wanting a "free belt" ?

GGG is not the one trying to avoid meeting Canelo !!!

    ;)

What about a third and very viable option. Have GGG call Canelo's "bluff" and accept the fight at a catchweight. :think

The Wbc will not strip Canelo if he makes a legit offer to his mandatory.:deal

Maybe, accept Canelo's bluff and then come at 160 lbs at the weigh in. The question is how much $ per lb would be the contractual penalty fee ?:think

Hey, it's a start. At least negotiations can get started and we would know that
both parties are committed to making this fight happen. Otherwise both parties look suspect.

Sanctioning a fight between a welter and a super welter for a middleweight title @ 155 lbs, only wbc can do it.:nut:lol:
