Fights only at 155 pounds.Wants to impose catchweights on other middleweight champions. That is a disgrace to the sport right there.

Move down to Junior middleweight if you do not want to fight true
    middlweights.

Honesly, I do not seen why a middlweight champion, who started out as a natural junior middleweight and ballons up to over 170 pounds for this fights can not fight true middleweights!!

Because he was second best money generator of 2015

1.Floyd Mayweather, Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao 4,600,000
2.Miguel Cotto vs. Saúl Álvarez 900,000
3.Floyd Mayweather, Jr. vs. Andre Berto 550,000
4.Gennady Golovkin vs. David Lemieux 150,000

Don't let HBO or any other boxing purist fool you. Canelo can hold that belt and fight a warm fart as long as he does numbers. It's a money game man. I love the sport but it's corrupted and the hand with the highest bid wins.

Haymon/Showtime has the HW WBC, LHW WBC, SMW WBC, WW WBC, FW WBC.
    GBP has the MW WBC
Top Rank/HBO has the SLW WBC, FlyW WBC.

The WBC wins in every hand $$$$$$

He is being a terrible disgrace and playing some **** tactics on other fighters because he has the financial advantage. **** that ****. People can jerk off over these PPV numbers. But it does not change the fact that the guy is nothing special.

    I think he's pretty good.

I think he'd give GGG a few hard rounds.

I also think that he's being a disgrace while insisting on this 155 "polloweight" boolshyte.

Still a disgrace. Imagine Tim Tebow asking for opponent's defensive linemen to start each snap a further 5 yards behind the line of scrimage - after all Tebow is the big money generator! Does any other sport allow athletes to dictate the rules of the sport to try to gain an advantage over an opponent? I wonder why I am a boxing fan sometimes.

He claims he was drained against Floyd but refuses to fight at a comfortable undrained 160

The Canelo "fans" claim its because he is the one that racks in the money so he can dictate the rules. I wonder too why I keep on following boxing when it's so corrupted. Stuff like this just makes me sick!

    Hmm... :think

    • He started out as a welterweight.
    • He's outgrown JR middleweight.

Obviously I'm not justifying just nitpicking.

Cant blame him for taking the fight that won him the belt. Though everything after that has been a joke. If Canelo can get somebody to agree to a 155 limit for a 160 world title fight then fair enough. But if somebody says NO i want to come in at 160 it should be tough luck on Canelo.

Especially when its clearly an advantage gaining trick and nothing else. The "Im not a middleweight thing is clearly ridiculous when you see how heavy he is on fight night.
