If he looks good in a comeback Fight he could be the ideal foe for Liam Smith

Alternative for BJS could be to have a rematch Andy Lee in an Irish Stadium

Smith v Spike as the main support

After being easily beaten by Chris Eubank jr does he really deserve a World Title shot after one fight? I'm not so sure about that and imo Liam Smith deals with him pretty easily.

I do see the Liam Smith fight as a good dust up actually. Dependant how Spike performs down at LMW, what I don't see however is the fight taking place out of the North West.

Smith has already stated his desire for the big fights, the worldwide names - and accepted he will travel, Las Vegas , MSG etc... If it's not a major fight he'll be in MEN or the Echo.

Now a days it's not really about deserving a shot (he doesn't for what it's worth) look at Smiths previous fight for eg, against Kelly, an unknown kid who not long previous had been on small hall shows... FW could get Spike approved no danger. Wrong, but true sadly

He never really looked like a middleweight IMO so I guess I'll be interested to see how he looks at 154 although in truth I can't imagine we'll see any dramatic improvements. He looked very limited skill wise at 160.

Spike definitely has options at the weight, he could fight the winner of macklin/rose, or any of the FW guys corcoran, patterson, although I think match ups with liam williams and liam smith will be further down the line

Yeah you're right, I could still see spike potentially fighting either of them. IMO brian rose aint no middleweight

Yeah, I guess we'll have to wait and see. Hopefully he can be in a few good domestic level dust ups over the coming year.

Is he still with Pascal Collins?

  12. Spike is rubbish, barely domestic level and if they feed him to Smith, shame on Liam.

Haha. Post Froch And Groves rematch, every fighter in Britain seems to think they have the potential to headline Wembley.

@terry I have no idea if he's still with Paschal. I'd also say I don't really know enough about Collins to have an opinion on him as a trainer.
