Well said Shakes. Eubank told his son to ''take him out'', Nick stood up to the best his son could throw without wobbling, so Eubank advised body punches to attempt to finish him that way. Seems like only Johnny Nelson in the media actually realised what was going on.

So little man, you can read minds now?

I'm not saying either way what Seniors intentions were but you don't know for sure and neither do I, it's just your opinion.

As for your blatant anti Eubank agenda, I dislike certain fighters too but I don't try and disguise my dislike with threads pretending to be some sort of moral compass or voice of reason.

The things you said at ten start of this thread about the Eubanks speaking to the media and them boasting was absolute rubbish, I'd go as far as to say blatant lies.

Not once have they bragged, boasted or shown any disrespect to Blackwell after Saturday night, would you like to correct yourself?

I saw that too, a truly disgusting question, a loaded question, with the intent for negative headlines.

I believe the Eubank's handled it very well, stuck to the point and didn't get dragged in to having to say things that would have certainly been twisted and upset and hurt Blackwells family.

Young fighters, even young amateurs are drilled to win at all costs, you are trained mentally and psychically to do everything in your power to win, you hammer your body and mind in the gym for the purpose of winning, what answer can you give to a question like that without sounding weak, callous or sick?

This is bang on. Everyone speaking as if the Eubank's are saints and the ref and corner didn't care. The fact that the Eubank's are confirming they were protecting Blackwell is hardly surprising given their characters. I can actually imagine senior telling junior to play on it to improve public perception.
Heard too much stick for Lockett. Doesn't anyone remember the Enzo Braehmer fight!? clear concern and compassion for his fighter. Why would he behave different for Blackwell.

He 100% said the trunk tree quote earlier in the fight. People are overlooking this to suit their protective Eubank agenda. Bull ****.

  7. If anyone needs to be blamed it's Nick's trainer, BJS and tyson fury, for goading and trying to intidate CEJ during the fight.

Then when Nicks ass is being carried away on a stretcher, Tyson fury is parading around like a ring girl playing games.

All this **** could've been avoided if Nick and his team and his friends didn't try playing billy big *******s all night long.

Thats why I ain't donating ****. Ask yourselves before you throw away that money, if that was you in the hospital would they be donating funds to your account?

    A sucker is born everyday.

This is clear anti Eubank bias, they have merely asked questions put to them, as no-one in the Blackwell camp seems to have spoken out.
    Nor has the referee.
Nick Blackwell was brave and fought to the bitter end, no-one is downplaying his efforts, we're all a bit saddened by this and as boxing fans this is what has a major affect on the community here as a whole.
It is sadly part of the sport that sometimes it can have tragic circumstances, and despite efforts over the years to prevent it, it still happens each year.
If anyone watched the tragedy which was Mike Perez VS Mago, and compare it to the Blackwell situation, I think Blackwell has a fighting chance of leading a normal life again even without boxing.
We all want to blame someone, coulda, woulda, shoulda, but it is a combination of factors that led to this, Lockett didn't pull Blackwell out, Blackwell was still throwing back, and the ref let the fight continue when he had chances to stop it.

Of course if Lockett or the ref had stopped it earlier, things maybe different. But, as a trainer Lockett made a decision which made sense at the time, the refs are criticised for stopping fights too soon (ALOT in the British forum) - it's such a difficult thing to judge, and hindsight is all too easy to be the judge and jury. But the factors that led us here shouldn't be blamed on either man as they made human errors, not intentional ones.

Well if you judge a man by the company he keeps Blackwell doesn't come off too well. More to the point Fury and BJS had no place goading and talking sht to Eubank from ringside. I hope they are happy now, the bunch of prize cnts.
