Forgot to add, drug ****yses at this time could not tell the difference between codeine in a cough mixture and heroin. The amounts found in his system were consistent with pain killer levels anyway. Sorry to be the killer of a million conspiracy theories.

I think Floyd Patterson killed him somehow, probably by drugging his Cheerios.

 

The overall Liston life is mostly sad.

It is my understanding that the body was badly decomposed due time and wamth of the room, that were "blooms growing".

Also he had been hospitalized from an auto accident which may account for the codeine in his bloodstream.

There is a ton info indicating Sonny was a serious, longterm alcoholic.

Per Sports Illustrated (2/4/91):

"Geraldine remained in Las Vegas for nine years after Sonny died—she was a casinohostess—then returned to St. Louis, where she had met Sonny after his parole,when he was working in a munitions factory. She has never remarried, and today works as a medical technician. "He was a great guy, great with me, great with kids, a gentle man," says Geraldine."

 

I think you might of crossed it with Joe Louis who did marry an attorney who helped rescue him from the IRS.

Louis / Liston....both last names start with an "L".

Apparently Liston really admired him, and they hung out together, it was alleged that the heroin Sonny had when we died may have obtained for Louis.
