Right. Broner is one of these guys who earned it the hard way. He didn't get much chances, had to battle crooked judges while still keeping up his good guy image. His championship wins in all 4 divisions came against murderers row, with Rodriguez, prime DeMarco, Paulie and Allakh, so you can't say he he took the easy road either. And he really had to work his way up to get there. Not like some guys that get a titleshot anytime they want, but he had to work hard for his titleshots.
I cant believe there isn't anyone around his guy that doesn't have any sense to try to talk some into him....and if there is...broner isn't listening and whoever that guy was prob should have walked away but prob didn't because of money if broner was legit having a hard time making weight(and not drinking and eating like a pig) I could give him a pass...but I doubt that's the case I was willing to give this guy a pass after maidana....he made a huge jump and showed some heart and courage finishing that fight...I expected him to come back strong and dedicate himself...and maybe redeem himself....now im sort of hoping this guy gets ktfo
First off, 4 time champion means shiat in this era of boxing . 2nd of all, Broner is an egotistical jerk and has been from day 1. 3rd, he just got through beating the **** out of someone and taking his money. Thats just the start of why people don't like the turd. I think the DISGRACE is for anyone who would condone any and all actions from that piece of shiat Broner. To put it any Broners own words, the man should be thrown in a toilet and flushed! Assault with a deadly weapon and robbery. OJ Simpson got 30 years for that. Hope Broner gets the same.
i hear ya man. people only want to focus on the negative side of everything. they hate on him for punching an old lady and stealing her purse, but they dont see that maybe thats how he discovered how good he was with his fists, and that led to 4 world championships... punching old ladies doesnt look as bad now, huh? or they look down on him for having 7 kids with 6 different women, but they dont see that those 6 women would have no form of income without a baby to qualify them for government assistance. so whos the bad guy now? we should be celebrating this rags to riches to rags story, not condemning.
I grew up in a neighborhood where there was a lot of gang activity. I used to ball in a neighborhood park where bragging and telling stories about an assault would be the norm. I used to hear those guys tell their stories and the thugs around them would all laugh and get a kick out of it. To them it was like a badge of honor to get off on someone and assault them. THUGS! Anyone that would support Adrian Broner is nothing but a THUG himself!
I grew up in a neighborhood like that also but mugging an old lady was off-limits. That was understood. One of my friends mother got mugged by this junkie. He and his brothers didn't report it to the police, they handled the matter themselves. The junkie disappeared and no one asked about him.
Every thug is weak minded, but the weakest of the weak take to snatching the purses of older ladies. In the process, a lot of these ladies get hurt not wanting to relinquish their belongings. Its called an assault.
What's ruining boxing is that fighters on the level of Broner are able to become four time world champions nowadays. End of thread.
