By no means was the man the bravest of warriors. But **** me did the man know how to box. ****ing beautiful to watch him in action.
He could have possible risen into the top 10 if he had honor. But he lacked the honor needed to make it into the top 10.
He was a technical marvel indeed but i don't think anyone can truly justify putting him higher than the top 30-40
Pacquiao had honor. Floyd didn't. He lacked the courage to fight the best at their best. And the character to make weight against Marquez.
In an era with more titles, and more weight classes with an obviously weaker talent pool it's hard for a fighter to reach ATG status. The last ATGs that we will see for a while is probably golovkin, pacquiao, gonzales, wlad, KING BROOK, and ward. And most likely beterbiev after he sparks kovalev in the most brutal fight caught on film. That's a good goddamn fight, that's the best matchup I can think of due to styles and both of them being two of the hardest punchers in boxing(beterbiev hits harder).
Loses to at least 3/4 of the fab four (maybe beats Leonard), has a pick 'em fight with prime Mosley, loses to prime Oscar, loses to Vernon Forrest, loses to Paul Williams and loses to Winky Wright. I don't have him as an ATG.
If you mean by honor fighting the same people Floyd fought at 147 and above and getting blown out by Floyd.. Than I agree.
