If Szpilka had the chin of Povetkin, his style you could argue is far trickier than Sasha's and could be a threat to any HW.:deal

Szpilka himself seemed pretty limited to me too, aside from his awkward movement.

Barely enough to squeeze a UD out of a shot Adamek, or hang with Jennings.... Yeah he's an awkward southpaw who can punch a bit and certainly not without skill.... But come on

Had Povetkin not KO' Takam he barely would have beaten him, and he didn't beat Huck and looked bad against Chambers and less than stellar against Wach. He's somewhat overrated and doesn't look great against guys with a height and reach advantages.

That's like saying had Wilder not KOd 35 of his opponents, he'd be **** right now. Povetkin slugged it out against a tough pressure fighter and overpowered him ending things in a brutal fashion in Takam, edged it out against Huck in absouletly the worst night of his career, took over and easily outboxed a then-solid top10 HW in Chambers despite his early struggles in his 15th fight where he was a pro for 2,5 years, and he dominated and beat the **** out of Wach in a fight where he was thought by some to have problems including you. I don't know what the hell was he supposed to do to look good against Wach.

 Calm down. I was just trying to point out Szpilka is better than most give him credit for, so what he had problems with Adamek, Glazkov did too, Jennings gave Wlad and Ortiz a tom of problems.

Povetkin is very good but he's no ATG killing machine that many on this site make him out to be, this is a 50/50 fight with most of the physical advatages giving Wilder the edge. Stylistically this favors Wilder more than it does Povetkin.

Should've added a :D to the end. I see it a close fight too, called it a 50/50 before the Szpilka fight I'm leaning towards Sasha now. Whether Wilder fought down to level of opposition against Molina, Duhaupas and Szpilka or It was that Stiverne was tailor-made for him, we'll find out. I gotta favour Povetkin now.

But I really don't see anyone hyping Povetkin the way MVC hypes Wilder or some crazy Brits hype Fury and Joshua. Most diehard heavyweight fans here like me, UTF, IB, Houmzz are high on him but also aware of his limitations. For me, the highest claim is he's the best non-Klitschko heavyweight of the K2 era. :thumbsup

For the record Povetkin winning by KO wouldn't shock me in the least either.:yep

Why didn't you listen to yourself and pick Molina, and Duhaupas to win then? :D

****ing Drenlou talked me out of switching last night.:-( As for Duhaupas I thought he'd beat Helenius and get robbed or stopped on cuts late.
