I had Cammarelle winning too, clear enough. I felt a bit sorry for him, one of the great amateur boxers getting robbed like that.
A career policeman, full-time international amateur boxer, shame he was robbed here in London.
Joshua could have got silver and still been rich off British hype in the pro ranks, like Khan was. So it was so unnecessary to rob the Italian like that. Criminal really.

Without the thread getting derailed into a discussion about whether Joshua won the Camarelle fight, the point is that he can't handle southpaws.

He brought in Otto Wallin for some sparring but I don't think he'll have suddenly improved against them. He hasn't fought any southpaws in his pro fights yet IIRC and even if he has it's irrelevant because they've all been poor fighters.

Martin will outjab him with ease based on the Whyte fight because Joshua can't jab effectively. It will be a simple right hand lead jab followed by a solid left hook that puts Joshua on the floor and he won't see the left hand coming. He's getting sparked.

Just remember the whyte fight was a very personal emotion injected unprofessional fight, That won't be the case with martin, also he will have learn't more from the whyte fight than any other fight.

Expect a different AJ, That's not to say i think he will win.

Fair point. I'm sure emotions clouded his reading of the fight there.

Yeah and if they were to fight today, Camarelle gets stretchered.
Who the fk is Martin? You talk about him training like a champion but have you even seen his physical condition? He's a slob, with fatrolls hanging over his protector.
I despise AJ, but he knocks Martin out cold. Bye bye now. :hi:

Seen martin once hes basic. Ridiculously poor world champion. But fancying him to beat joshua.

I dont even rate martin. But joshuas got big flaws. Even if he beats martin its coming. Too inexperienced. No jab. Completely ftoze and gassed when whyte hit him. Wasnt overly keen on the body shots. Anyone that cant control distance with the jab will come up short at the top level or even around it.

Can't believe so many people think Martin will win this fight, we talk a lot about the AJ hype but since this fight got made Charles Martin became a better fighter over night without doing anything. Take away his IBF belt & he's a gatekeeper level fighter at best.

    This fight isn't even close!

Without getting into the Joshua-Camarelle debate, somebody mentioned Joshua having a weakness against southpaws but the guys you mentioned Camarelle & Nistor are elite amateurs, Nistor is now the APB HW world champion, he's been knocking everybody out & Camarelle will surely go down as an ATG amateur. Joshua beat Otto Wallin (same Wallin he is now sparring) a tall southpaw twice in the amateurs & also beat another tall southpaw in Zhilei Zhang in the Olympics.

An elite level southpaw like Ortiz would beat Joshua right now IMO but Martin is not on that level nor on the level of Camarelle & Nistor. Back onto Martin, it was mentioned he has went 12 rounds comfortably, that is a false statement, Martin went 10 rounds once against Raphael Zumbano love throwing everything but the kitchen sink at him to force a stoppage, the same Love Joshua blasted out in 2 rounds without breaking a sweat.

    Looking forward to this one.

Good post. Fancying martin at 5 to 1 i think i seen tho. Someone will beat joshua sooner rather than later.

As much as martin is average. He might be the man to do it. Either way. Fury will beat him. And hayes an absolute nitemare for joshua. Haye knows it. He ll walk him in to traps the whole time barring a joshua early onslaught.

Doesn't cut corners yet he's flabby as they come, yeah ok

Let's get real here, had he been 100 % dedicated he would have looked the part, but he doesn't.
