No. Lewis WANTED room to throw his punches because that his best way of winning. If you think Lewis can't throw short punches then you are a moron.
Oh typical Slimeys jumping the gun... I never said he couldnt, I just said he couldn't do as good as Bowe did. You just have to know what comprehensive ability is. Obviously you don't have it.
Lewis would throw every shot in the text book as good as Bowe. He chose to fight from a distance because that was what he was best at. Bowe, at 6'5 against a 6'2 opponent should have been able to keep the fight on the outside. He could have, too. He chose not to.
You said his best wins were Tyson and Moorer... what ****ing years were those? Answer the ****ing question Slimey....
So what the **** are arguing for? Yes he could fight on the inside, but not as good as Bowe.. In mostly all his fights he played to his strengths which was fighting on the outside behind the jab... You're just trying to argue for the sake of being an *******.
Then we will have to disagree. I don't ever want to give Bowe any respect because he deserves none. I hoped and prayed Holy would beat him, and I never thought that Holy ever truly beat Bowe. Bowe had the perfect style to give Holy major problems. He used a stiff jab and he could fight inside against the smaller Holy. Tyson in his prime, and I'm not talking about the Buster Mike like everyone does,(pick the worst version and match them against the best version of the other guy) but the very best Mike imo was just too strong for Holy. Mike was just as fast, and he was always in superb condition until he left Rooney. Was Evan Fields using way back when? Don't know but it didn't help him against Bowe, and wouldn't have helped him against Tyson. Now I do admit that Tyson would not just walk through Holy, but imo he beats Holy down in a late rounds stoppage. Tysons hand speed would've given Lennox trouble. But Lewis had as much guts as any fighter that I've seen and if you beat him, you had to put his lights out and I do think that prime Tyson could do that after softening Lewis up to the body. JMO
Bowe was a bum and a coward. He knew he was bigger than Holy which is why he fought Holy that way-inside. As soon as he did that with a true heavy, Golota damn near whooped his ass-twice. Bowe was never the same after the Golota wars. They say the Holy fights took some of the fight out of him, but not as much as Golota's hvw right hands. Bowe fought on the inside too much and didn't use a jab, and that's why he was done before his time.
Lets be clear, Lennox Lewis was just a tall, robust boxer who beat smaller boxers. His jab is overrated & power also not impressive If he has delusions & thinks he can last more than one round vs the Long Legged Titan Deontay Wilder, he can do what ATGs always did & woke up to the reality that the newer more advanced humans are superior to them. Lennox Lewis resume ended by his choice, he was satisfied by being ranked above the K-Bros, that was his end game. Deontay Wilder doesn't have primitive grudges, he just smashes inferior boxers who want to question his superiority. Deontay Wilder didn't have to revenge losses to Mccall & Rahman. The Long Legged Titan never shows up to battle in a Post-Hedonistic mindset :verysad
Yeah... Those right hands to the ***** blizzy.. those low blows nearly sapped all of bowes testosterone which is why the mother****er is fat as **** now:rofl
Lennox Lewis fans will march the deluded fool into a humiliating defeat vs Deontay Wilder...Deontay Wilder is focused on Povetkin now, once the Battle of Russia is over, he will turn his attention to Lennox Lewis unreasonable remarks & show him how a hyper-sonic Right hand can neutralize his plain jab :think
