This. Also, AJ is a completely different fighter now. He was raw as hell in the amateurs. He still has flaws to iron out, but he is much better boxer now than he was 4 years ago.
I'm going all in, I am banging the British drum all week, regardless of what I think is going to happen I'm going to shout loudly for Joshua and British boxing. We can't have an American come over here and feel at home this week, Martin needs to made to feel he is completely out of his comfort zone. And we certainly can't have the idiots in the general forum insulting and hammering our Olympic heavyweight champion and future heavyweight world champion. Joshua needs to blitz Martin in stunning fashion and I'll be a happy and proud Brit. Rule Britannia.
? how do we know aj has improved since then? he hasnt faced anyone as good as cammerelle in the pro and camerelle has been retired a few years so your post makes no sense
You can tell AJ has improved just by watching him. He was far too raw in the amateurs and got by mainly on his athletic ability. He still has flaws now, but from a technical stand point he has improved a lot. Because AJ came to boxing late and didn't stay too long in the amateurs his improvements since turning pro are more noticable than other fighters who take up boxing young and have a long amateur career. AJ now is a completely different fighter to the Amateur AJ.
that said improvement could easily be due to the competition not being as good as in the amatuers .i cant see any noticeable improvements since his amateur days or maybe i cant give him credit for them because his level of competition has gone backward since his amateur days i still think he is quiet a basic fighter who could easily be outboxed. if he wasnt a roids monster i dont think he would get anywhere. in saying that martin is also very unproven and its a joke of a world title fight. as fury said he won the ibf belt tomorrow he would pee on it. this is a battle of two unproven heavyweights and with the odds the way they are im putting money on martin but i see it as around a 50-50 fight
You'd have to be daft to think that he's still the same fighter as in the amateurs. In addition to that Camarelle had a ton of experience advantage on him. But he wouldnt hypothetically have trouble with Camarelle now, and he won't have trouble with Martin on Saturday. This isn't a 50/50 fight at all. It's a mismatch in AJs favour. After all, thats how Hearn likes them.
You think so? It looked like his work ethic is very bad. He doesn't seem to push himself much in training.
Hearn is known to make a few mistakes. Recent examples are Campbell, Mitchell, Eggington, Etches. I think you are right though, the fight is definately in AJ's favour. However, it is still quite a risk, but the reward definately outweights the risk.
He might walk the earth like a god but he'll be singing with the angels by the time AJ's done with him.
Robbie William's should sing Angels live in the ring to pay respect when the Broken God Martin is stretchered out of the ring.
They do indeed. Trying to make out this guy is some sort of killer. They have not once mentioned how he won his title.
so you cant provide any proof he has improved since the amateurs except for calling me daft and hypothetically suggest that he would now beat cammerelle? we dont know if aj has improved since the amateurs he hasnt faced anyone good enough. what we do know from the amatuers is aj can be outboxed and he can be chinned. if martin is a good enough boxer and has decent power, then aj will have serious problems
