Pretty sure if GGG wouldn't compete @ 160, this division would be HOT as HELL!

I agree. It's the same **** over and over again. If there are 3-5 guys dominating the division is "stacked". If there's one guy who's dominating 5-10 elite guys he's "fighting bums".

Possibly, he's making everyone else in the division look average. Without Golovkin, the division would look better, I believe. But with a bunch of average guys fighting each other competitively, it will look "stacked". It's hard to say definitively, to be honest.

Edit: It's certainly not a poor division, just lacks P4P talent, aside from Golovkin.

IMO Cloud is more on a level like Proksa/ishida. Lemieux, quillin, jacobs and saunders are more on a level of Beterbiev, Fonfara, Stevenson and Pascal.

Spot on. However, I believe it's even deeper than what the OP suggested. For the division to be considered strong it by default has to have strong American representatives of world level class:
    - Once Klitschko was thrown off the throne, the division has become strong and hot AF with American Wilder and British Fury making noise. If it wasn't for Wilder, there would have still been question marks about HW division ("aw these British fighters Fury and Joshua ain't ****... bla bla bla").
    - If it wasn't for Ward and Dirrell, 168 division in Froch, Kessler, and Bute would have been considered a "eurobum" division.
    - If Jacobs and Quillin dominated 160, the division would have been considered one of the strongest in post Hagler era. But (unfortunately to functionally illiterate) it's dominated by the Kazakh.
    - There are many world class American boxers at WW, so it has to be considered the best division out of all (and I do agree, it's the most competitive due to presence of good boxers from other countries as well).

After all, the US are considered to be the mecca of pro boxing, and you have to be accepted by their fans and media before getting the some accolades.

Both of these ^ to an extent and somewhere in between IMO. The MW talent pool has been reduced by the tendency of American based fighters around the weight to gravitate towards 154 where the money has been in recent years. To compare the Boxrec JMW top 20 includes 12 US fighters (+ if you like, Lara and Cotto who fight exclusively in the US) whereas MW has 6 - actually 5 if you don't include the recently naturalised Khytrov - and only Jacobs and Quillin in the top 10.

That ain't to say that MW is much worse, in fact I don't think it is - for one thing the European money leant towards MW where Sturm was the cash cow for many years which has also contributed to producing the inverse effect at MW. Secondly US fighters aren't any better on average IMO than their european counterparts - but that doesn't mean the top end of MW wouldn't be stronger with some of the the top US based JMWs (many of whom come to the ring around 170+) added into the mix.
