His technique has improved. You don't need to see him against top class opposition to see that. You can see it just by watching him. His balance, for me, is the thing that has improved the most. His combination punching, footwork and not over reaching so much show how much his balance has improved. Now, can he use those skills to beat top class pro opposition? That is yet to be seen. But, it is clear that, from a technical/skill standpoint, he is a much improved and more rounded fighter.
So Eddie is trying to fool joe public by insisting this is a 50/50 fight whist AJ is saying that if Martin didn't hold the Ibf belt then he'd just be another KO on his resume. I checked out Martin online and I had to go to boxrec to see if there were 2 different Martins at heavy. Awful.
Eddie planned this whole Ibf stripping tyson bull**** so Joshua could get his hands on a world title. Look how close Eddie is with the IBF. Didn't really matter if it was Martin or Glazkov as there both nowhere near world class and both are easy wins for Josh.
how has his technique improved? its easy to look like you have good technique when knocking out card board cut out bums. its harder to look like you have good technique against top amatuers. can you point out some in depth techniqcal ****ysis of how his technique has improved? again its easier to look like oyu have better balance against bums with no movement, against fighters with goof movement and skill they can keep you off balance. also easier to land combos against bums who are useless and of course his punches look better against bums his footwork is the exact same as the amatuers stiff and basic enough, his footwork is quiet poor at times actually again fighters outreach and miss against good opponents who can dodge and maintain distance, against complete bums and cans who only block punches with there face its easy to look like you arent over reaching as much all your points have been broken down and can easily be attributed to the **** poor level of competition since turning pro in contrast to the guys he faced as an amatuer
Sasuke his technique had improved he can ko gwezers easier. I wouldn't recommend looking to amateur careers. Joshua is the goods who eill be outboxed by Tricky men. Martin. Is a slouch
i think he will beat martin too but because martin is poor and his best win is tom dallas but there is no blatant obvious improvements we can see because he havnt seen him in with competition as good as he faced in the amatuers. of vourse his footwork is going to look between against some can who is so fat he can barely move his feet than against erislandy savon heck my punching and combos would look world class if i was beating the **** out of some ill equip fat bloke but id look like a guy with down syndrome if i was trying to hit camerelle
This fight is everything that is wrong with boxing Just watched Martin in a couple of fights and he looks shat. slow, plodding leaves himself wide open, he has to be in the running for the worst heavy weight champion ever. People go on about some of the 80's heavy scene being the worst, but guys like Tate, Weaver, Tucker, Witherspoon, Tubbs, Page, would destroy Martin and Joshua Joshua dos not deserve shot yet, and I for this reason I hope he gets beat.
Only briefly seen martin. What i ve seen is been pretty poor tbh. But think he looks worse than he actually is. One thing i ll say is hes a thinker in there. Fight could go two ways. Tbh no one can with any certainty at this stage of both their careers tell how it will go. Neither really been tested much. I see joshua in the amir khan mold where their attributes will be too much for most but not with others. Khan with his speed and josh with his power. What i dont like is they seem to be concentrating on his strengths in training far more than his weaknesses. His first 15 fights and strategies for them said fights are gonna be his downfall. The big question is...does joshuas ridiculously good strengths outweigh his many flaws to make it all the way to the top. One things for sure you cant write josh off in any fight. Although at the same time i wouldnt completely write off anyone with a pulse and size off against him either. Josh has a lot of flaws.
Sorry you are wrong there... It was Kathy Duva who is Glazkov's Promoter who arranged the stitch up on Fury, as their office and and the IBF's are in the same building!!! :good:roll:
maybe stitch up wasn't the right word, every other governing body allows unification bouts to take precedence over a mandatory, also they usually allow a voluntary before enforcing a mandatory. Which sometimes causes more harm than good. But i'm sure that Kathy Duva would have had some input in the decision to enforce Glazkov knowing full well Fury would Vacate. I cant blame her though, shes a promoter... its her Job...
The IBF are strict at enforcing mandatories. Brook's first fight was a mandatory, it depends on when it was due. There wasn't a unification fight out there anyway. Wilder had a fight lined up with Szpilka and he then had to face his mandatory. Was always going to be tough to keep hold of all the belt after agreeing to a rematch clause when he had no reason to do so.
