Current HW era could become the best ever

    People got so used to badmouthing the Klitschko HW era they are carrying that over into what has become a truly exciting, dynamic era with a lot of truly dominant HW's.

    The immediate comparison is the early 90's, where Holyfield (Wlad) was dethroned by Bowe(Fury), and Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson, and George Foreman(Wilder, Joshua, Parker) were all waiting in the wings. Wlad is a much stronger champ than Holyfield was, certainly at that stage, and only Lewis was an up and coming prospect, with Tyson and Foreman more famous for past achievements. All told, the 90's would be tough to top, but I could imagine a few scenario's were this era could wind up surpassing it.

    And, to be fair, even though I'm a big Vitali fan and to a lesser extent Wlad fan, it does show the weaknesses of their era. The best SHW's of their era were McCline, Valuev, Thompson and Dimitrenko, none of whom you can really imagine would have dominated without each other's presence. Right now, you can see Fury, Wilder, Joshua, Parker along with Wlad all dominating without the other rivals, and maybe more.

    I agree with Vlads dominance smashed the division is heavy with fighters in the top 10-15 who could beat each other. I certainly wouldnt say the quality is the best ever but the excitment could be as high as it can get.

    there are some positive things materializing. We have several young undefeated hopefuls who like to brawl are either contenders or already holding titles and beginning to fight one another. As soon as the division has been evacuated of the aging Povetkins, thompsons, Pulevs, and Wlads I think we may see the dawn of a potentially exciting era.

    Wilder will have a better record than Vitali Klitschko if he beats Povetkin.

    Wilder haters best hope and pray he gets proper pasted out in Moscow.

    Same can be said of Tyson fury when he does the double over Wlad, would completely overshadow anything on Vitalis record.

    seriously size increase yield losses in cardio. Boxing is a cardio sport. Only way even bigger guys will get a leg in, is if fight lengths are cut.

    And gains in everything else. There is a reason size, ie height and weight, has been growing consistently over the last 60 years. It works.

    And please, you've got to be totally hate drugged to say Fury or Wilder's resume could approach Vitali's this year. Give it a year or two and its possible. Until then, people are just showing their bias.

    The fighters may not be the best ever but it could be very exciting .the title fights not taking place in Germany will make them more interesting the crowd might not just clap like residents of an old folks home.

    If someone had said 2 years ago that Tyson Fury would be THE man at HW, then it would be slammed for it's lack of real quality. He's ripe for a beating against someone who actually moves and can hit.
