I mean I'm about to drop 200 bucks on Charles Martin. That's a great payout. I think the odds are being distorted by drunken british fans betting on their man.

    Thoughts?

Always look for the lowest % cut (To start shopping for odds)

    +385 Charles Martin
    -500 Anthony Joshua

By making the odds the closest they take a bigger risk of taking a financial hit.

Then you have chicken odds with higher % cuts for the house, that you sometimes take if you (know something is about to go down...just to teach them a lesson, make sure you play an advisory role to various people with some betting activity, that way they are ready to get the big pay when you know 100% sure how the fight will go :smoke )
Biggest mistake is to make a big bet on the first time you sign up & a bigger mistake is using your actual name (if you are associated with boxing directly)

Be reasonable, don't make the payout worth sending them to bankruptcy & risk an investigation

    -1000 Anthony Joshua
    +500 Charles Martin

In this case Martin at +500 is better, although its a weak overall deal & they are hoping to make $ of Anthony Joshua -1000 (chronic gamblers like to use the same website, so in big fights they might put some $ on boxing, they usually will pick the favorites after they read the available articles & online vibe)

Brits put big $, so this fight can make big $ if Joshua decides to slefishly cash out as long as its not a Nigerian who shows up to collect
(odds of fight ending in first minute are always the big $) :think

Regardless of what happens Martin shouldn't be that big in the odds market.

I believe Joshua wins but I really wouldnt be shocked if Martin pulled off the upset.

With those kind of odds why not take a risk... it's the heavyweight division and anything can happen in boxing.

If Martin KOs Joshua inside one minute
    The payout for $400,000 ~ $60,000,000

So anything is possible, Joshua has lots of friends that can show up to collect & no one will know (which keeps Hearn out of Scope), then he wins the rematch & Rubber Match, you can't trust anybody...All this been done before :smoke

No point in putting it on Martin 4/1 when Martin KO odds are wider

Martin is terrible. Guy looks awful even in his highlight videos. Joshua will absolutely wreck him. If this wasn't for the title, people wouldn't be overrating Martin so much. Joshua isn't all that great, but Martin is basic.

I love it when everyone turns their brains off and treats a 50-50 match as if the winner is a foregone conclusion, that's usually when the biggest upsets occur.

What the hell has Joshua done for him to be treated as the prohibitive favorite in any match, he just almost got KTFO against a bum in Whyte, so even if Martin isn't as good as I think he is, he still has a huge chance against AJ, since I can guarantee he's better than Whyte and damn sure more accurate and probably doesn't have a gammy shoulder.

I've put £10 down on Martin

Yes Martin looks horrible in his highlight videos
Yes he hasn't really fought decent level guys

    But neither has Joshua
    Both have flaws

I'm convinced If Martin can make Joshua miss Joshua will gas out...

You can only fight to the level of your opponents...He was doing very well against Glazkov & looked way more refined than when he was beating up them bums in his youtube highlight videos. ALSO he is in the best shape looking at his pre workout tapes.

Each man can knock each other down/out if they land their power punches

My personal expectation is for Joshua to use his jab and break him down to a mid round stoppage...but man the hype is unreal. I'll take that bet. Just as I was willing to take the bet on Paulie against hype job Broner. almost did it.

I favor Joshua but those do seem a bit inflated.

If I had to correctly predict a result, I lean towards a Joshua win.
But I will probably bet on Martin. That's great value.

Both are unproven fighters. It doesn't really matter who looks good or bad in the highlights, we can't tell how good they are until they are properly tested against each other and show us what they can do.

Odds don't mean ****, why should Martin be less I found a dog??? WTF 400 is crazy, it could be 5000000000, doesn't matter, joshua is truly one if the very best I need all of boxing.

Nvd it's a HW fight, Joshua is on ggg and kovalev type level. The dude is far and away the best most complete package the hw division has ever seen. Like GGG is way better than anyone who had been campaigning at his division.

Kovalev I'd an animal on their level but historically the lhw division had seen many bad asses in the past
