Who do you feel the most under rated boxer in the UK is right now?

There are some boxers you must feel that are totally dismissed as useless when you feel this is unjust and not fair?

For me one fighter who does not get enough praise and seemed to be dismissed as a ''lucky world champion'' and ''**** poor'' is Stuey Hall.

He beat Malinga who was a semi decent world champion, then in my opinion beat Butler but didn't get the nod (fair enough close fight) he then went abroad to box Caberllero who is a fantastic fighter and although he didn't win he gave a very good account of himself.

His defeats to Haskins and Mcdonnell were also close and I would pick him to beat Haskins in a rematch. I am sure if Frankie Gavin see's this thread he would confirm just how strong Hall is having sparred with him.

Anyway which boxer do you feel gets unnecessary criticism and has unappreciated talent ?

I think Billy Joe Saunders, although a world champion, is underrated. He's got a solid resume, beat a decent champion and is a very slick boxer.
Equally, I think DeGale is underrated, despite being a world champ.

    Jamie McDonnell.

BJS and James Degale are excellent boxers also.

Really? If he isn't rated as highly as he would like, he only has himself to blame. Porter is a good name to have, but that fight could have gone either way. Other than Porter, who is on his resume?

For someone to have so many fights he's got an abysmal resume. Jo Jo Dan, Gavin and Bizier since he won the title? Mandatorys or not, that's shocking.

Maybe Hearns fault as he can't seem to snag the big international fighter and bring them to the UK but Brook needs a name big time.

As mentioned above, Selby is hugely underrated in my opinion.

Jamie McDonnell is a great shout too.

    Liam Walsh for me....

  9. Definitely Degale.

The guy is world champ, has travelled to fight fighters in their back yards and sparkled yet where is the hype and praise for him?

Meanwhile you got frauds who look good in 2-3 fights in their hometown against complete bums and the announcers scream ''world class, you better believe it''

Will never understand british boxing and the fanbase that laps up all the bs up

Liam Smith gets my vote, he gets very little exposure and needs to fight a big name to show what he's capable of and get recognition.

Lee Selby and BJS are class acts and deserve more praise.

On here it has to be Christopher Eubank jr, it seem's 95% of you think he gets beaten more decisively by BJS in part 2. Add that to the fact that BJS is now the most underrated fighter and its a bit laughable.

The casuals must know more about boxing than you diehard's because even they know CEJ is going to whoop BJS in part 2.

TBF I think most of you do too but you are letting your hatred get the better of you and you are too proud to admit the obvious.

I certainly agree with you on liam smith theres just something about this kid that i like. I know he dont have the skill set of his bros callum but he is a good pro whos done well by sticking with fish. His bros stephen has done nothing since he left fushy and could well struggle when he fights shortly simply because he hasnt been in a meaningful fight for ages. So for me beefy fits idea of a fighter thats not getting the credit he deserves. Also agree with bjs. dont agree with selby i think he is touted yo be far better than he actually
