Can't believe how many clowns on here are picking Martin to beat Joshua

Some are better than they are often given credit for (Fury, Chisora), some (Haye) aren't, some its too early to tell (Joshua, Whyte). Still, fair enough on the bolded point, I guess we need fans expressing different points of view.

That said, I said Fury had an excellent chance for an upset, I made a thread way back a month or so before the fight saying he was Wlad's biggest threat in many years, because it made sense stylistically in rationality evaluating him and Wlad. By the same token, while I think Joshua could be great, I'm going to be rational in accepting the jury is still out and he could potentially lose to someone, on paper, better than anyone else he's faced before. I'm just rational about boxers regardless of their nationality.

And I applaud you for that. I accept im not immune to national bias but having watched as much of Martin as I can find on YT I honestly see no way he can beat AJ.

Member of the Order of the British Empire

I really like these kinds of fights, genuinely dividing opinion.

Credit has to go to both of these men regardless of the outcome Saturday night.

Martin didn't have to come to the UK to defend his title and Joshua after 15 fights could have played it safe and had a few more fights at a lower level.

Personally I believe Joshua wins but I won't be shocked if Martin pulls off the upset.

One thing I haven't seen is who is the referee? This man could have a huge effect on the way things finish.

After Blackwell and the reputation Joshua has (right or wrong) as being a ferocious puncher and Martin also has a very good KO ratio will the referee give both fighters every chance to recover if they are caught, hurt and under pressure in such a huge fight in the UK?

The eyes of the U.K. Will be watching and these are both very big powerful men, fine lines between giving fighters a chance and letting things go to far. So hopefully the referee is a very good one.

Agreed! It was the smart move by both fighters, but all too often you don't see that anymore and caution wins out and they both take lesser fights, that are more obvious wins. The fights that are coming out right now in HW are awesome though, it looks like the division is finally starting to see the best fights materialize, and credit to both boxers for being part of that!

This is a very good point, would hate to see an early stoppage but at the same time I don't wanna see Martin get hurt.

Martin is a set-up for Joshua and nothing else. He can't fight worth a damned, no balance, no technique, unheard of. Martin getting this change at the title should prove to fans how crooked boxing really is....................

I admit I was wrong; I was leaning towards Martin to win

Impressive KO by AJ. Perfect, on the button shots, both of them

and it looked to be the exact same shot Both times
