Ok so were just over a wk away from the 16 apr leeds bill where warrington is in the toughest test of his career so far. How do peeps see this fight going. Imo we saw an absolute great performance last time out from josh when he faced brunker who hardly laid a glove on him and was shut out on all 3 judges cards. Can we expect a similar performance from josh against a fringe world operater in amagasi. Its certainly a contrast in styles to brunker with amagasi been tall for a fw standing at 5.11 as opposed to warringtons5.7 and half. Amagasi has a long jab and although he does seem to reach with it a lot he does have that luxury as the height and reach he has on his opps gives himvthat extra split second to play with. Did rigo take too much out of him that night is he still hungry how do people see this going for warrington. It was generally seen as a legit fight for josh when it was announced, i certainly see it that way what about everyone else? One thing is certain iv never known a jap that just turns up its not in there genes imo hell be coming in with loads of pride and honor. Stuey hall also on the card as well as martin j ward. Maxi hughes in a std 6rd stay busy fight. Also on the bill making his debut is reece mould. I do recommend people keeping an eye on this kid hes 20yr old has been in the ams since 10 on england squad etc although he always had a style more suited to the pros than the ams he had a colourful career. Like i say im excited about this kid hes a sbw who has a lot to shout out about hes one to watch.
The guy is huge. He put Rigo down but I don't think Rigo was hurt, just being a bit lazy. He put a beating on him after but he looked better than most of his other opps have. Haven't seen him beyond that fight though I must admit. I'm assuming Warrington will win but on points
Very risky fight this for Josh and I for some reason see him getting it on points, but not in a too dissimilar fashion to the Rebrasse v Fielding fight last weekend. Josh deserves the Selby fight if he gets through this however.
I do agree with u terry. If josh comes through this fight he deserves a shot at selbz. Although there has to be no disagreement about the win unlike fieldings against rebrasse.
has anyone been to a Warrington fight heard a lot about the atmosphere is like Elland Road on a Saturday. Just football fans not boxing Thinking of going to a show if Warrington keeps winning but been put off from what I have read.
He brought between 75-100 down to the Midlands wen he won the english title. Loud but well behaved. Since he joined matchroom the fan Base has grown thru the football club. I certainly wudnt want to be their the night he loses.
Ive been to all his fights and im not a football fan. The atmosphere is another level at the leeds arena. A lot of people go on about the type of fans at warringtons fights but all i can put it down to is haters gonna hate. Ive had no problems whatsoever i havnt seen 1 bit of crowd trouble and everyone is enjoying themselves. I would recommend anyone to go to one of joshs fights just for the atmosphere.
I think if he keeps fighting in leeds for a few more fights he could have a hatton type following and stage the fight in the millenuim staduim and beat calzaghes 50,000 odd he had against kessler
There was only ltd dates available and its hard to get a date to suit. Its certainly not dead in the water but its finding the right date for all then that date been available with leeds football club which is limited apparantly
