Canelo rehydrates close to 20lbs, while Golovkin usually rehydrates 10 to 12lbs. Golovkin probably can't do what Canelo does, because he's much older and it's actually unusual to be able to rehydrate that amount.
If Canelo was on the level with this he would be ok with a rehydration clause instead. But that is in his own disadvantage.

at this point i think ggg would prob make as much money fighting canelo as he would floyd....floyd would look at ggg and offer him 6 mil tops if he were trying to make the fight...with no ppv........khan is getting 6 mil from canelo....i bet the money isnt that far off

like u said....canelo is gggs floyd...its more realistic...and hes the biggest fight ggg can get....its his chance to get that big fight for more appeal.....he could win over all of canelos fans in one night...and then hes got the belt and he can say "no more cws ever...its mine now and were doing things the right way from now on"....hed be in the drivers seat

i think they actually fear he might lose at 155....and i think k2 feels the same way.....otherwise theyd be all over it....it can be about the validity of the title....because thats already out the window with the way canelo, cotto and sergio have handled it

its so funny how these guys contradict themselves over and over...and like you pointed out...the "canelo is as big or bigger than ggg anyway" argument just backfires when they whine about a cw.....

Why are these boxing "fans" so inclined in seeing Golovkin fight for the Lineal Middleweight champion at a catchweight? The one that should be questioned and pressured here is Canelo because he is making a mockery of that title. Making your own weight limit and forcing other MW's to go down to that weight seems very dumb. And this will not stop with Golovkin, as soon as Canelo is "ready" to fight a real MW he will continue to request catchweights.
