A mixture of a few threads really. There's the best win one, Larry's defences, Tyson vs Frazier, Rocky and Dempsey switch era etc. All got me thinking about this match up. I think Mike gets the short stick sometimes in HW matches.
Getting disintegrated by Tyson sure didn't help him out. If he lasted till the mid rounds or lost on points it would have been much better for him. I reckon he might do well against the plodder types
Not sure who I'd pick. And its particularly difficult trying to discern which version of Walcott was the best.. Was it the 34 year old Walcott who arguably got robbed in his first fight with Joe Louis? was it the 36 year old Walcott who KO'd Charles or the 38 year old rendition who gave Marciano fits in a galant losing effort? And both Spinks and Walcott were very crafty and awkward. Putting them together in the ring would make for an interesting chess match for sure.
