I don't know which fight you were watching if that's your assessment of the Joshua vs Whyte match, Joshua almost blew Whyte out of there in the 1st round then let that and the long standing feud with Whyte get the better of him by getting Gung Ho and looking for a big knock out. Joshua walked into a superb left hand from Whyte, who's a big hitting, powerful KO specialist himself, and all, it did was disorient him for about 10 seconds. He then got back to the game plan and dominated the next few rounds before finding Whyte with a couple of fast combinations and then knocking him out with a sickening uppercut. So apart from basically walking through the best punch a KO specialist could land on him I'm not sure why you'd describe his performance as "epileptic" I think Whyte would KO Martin ! But we'll see how Joshua goes tonight
Yeah that's how I saw the fight as well. He was brutalizing Whyte early on, problem AJ has is once he hits an opponent they have tended to fold pretty quickly and at a higher level even a hurt opponent is dangerous, Joshua showed his lack of experience, he still has a lot to learn.
I think Joshua is good, especially in attack and has great power but he does have his flaws. Martin isn't the one to exploit the flaws though, he seems a bit slow and clumsy and is quite open so I think Joshua will finish it early. If Martin didn't have the title most people would be calling him another bum and it's an easy fight for Joshua but I'm sure people will call him a bum as soon as Joshua beats him anyway.
The broadcast starts at 6:00pm and runs until 12:00am. The main event is scheduled to begin at about 10:30pm but it could be earlier or later depending on how long the other fights on the bill last.
those guys over in the uk sure know how to drag these fights on forever.I also hate how they try to turn an ordinary boxing match into some kind of spectacle. way over the top and completely overdone.
There was more to it than that. A few follow up body shots had stopped Joshua in his tracks . He was moving around slower than a Mummy. His intensity didn't come back for another 1 or 2 rounds. He was lucky Whyte was gassed out himself . Anybody else would have been all over him . Same as when he was stunned off the left hook. Whyte had an open target to do some damage. There was nothing coming back , yet he stepped off and let Joshua regroup. Joshua is beatable. But Martin isn't the guy to do it. He get blasted out early.
