    This clown claims he was seeing mirages against Lomachenko and that Lomachenko should've stopped him in the condition he was in. Lomachenko's footwork causes his opposition to see a mirage. I would love to see a rematch now.

    I don't really follow these lightweight division, so i don't know much about Lomachenko - i know he won the olympics but how good is he compared to Rigondeaux, Santa Cruz and Uchiyama?

    Gary wasn't just beaten, he was humiliated, outboxed, outsmarted, out-hustled by Vasyl in ways that are so spectacular.
    Vasyl has had more fights since, and has shown evidence of learning to point-score even better under the pro system.

    That ugly little horse-toothed dwarf ran his big mouth non stop before the fight and he's still running it and making excuses now despite the fact that 2 fight pro novice ''amateur'' Loma had been respectful and came into his home country, with a US ref and 3 US judges, and paddled his ass something rotten in front of his own people and his 30 or so brothers who also share the same Christian name as their father and him. The guy is a clown with a capital C.

    “I will never get over the loss to [Vasyl] Lomachenko. Even if we fight again and I beat him, I will never forget that first loss.

    “I expect 2015 will be a very big year for me. I want to fight for another world title, win it, and then immediately challenge Lomachenko to a unification fight. I believe if we fight again I will win. In fact I feel if we fought 100 times, I would beat him in 99 of them.’’

    Yeah, he was so exhausted he threw more power punches in the last three rounds than he did in any other round during the fight bar the 6th when he equaled the amount he threw in the 11th round which was the lowest amount he threw of those last three rounds.

    Hopefully he gets a rematch at some point so I can see him gormless expression sink after 1 round when it dawns on him he's in way over his head, again, and it all comes flooding back.

    russell is making little of himself here. he is a world champion fari enough but that doesnt change the fact that lomachenko completely destroyed him and made him look useless. his excuses dont add up, its been saunas, not enough energy(in spite of serge putting out that the idiot broke punch stat records) and now he is blaming mirages

    i just read the interview and he is talking about being in a sauna to lose weight just before the fight, he is lieing because in a different interveiw he said his strength and conditioning coach had him in a suana earlier on in camp getting him down in weight. keep your story straight gary
