Manny is not retired. He'll fight Canelo/Khan for a 9th division title. Book it.

Margarito and Oscar were shot. That being said, Pac can beat Alvarez.

They said Barrera was too big. They said the same with Morales and Marquez. They said Diaz was too big. They said Hatton was too big. They said Cotto was too big. They said Margarito was too big.

To be fair. The majority of this forum back then all though Oscar was too big and thought the fight was a mismatch.. There have been several threads bumped over the years to prove this.

I thought Oscar was shot in the Mayweather fight. The subsequent Forbes fight proved it. Sure a lot of people thought Pac was too small for Oscar but that doesn't change the fact that Oscar was still shot.

And that doesn't change the fact that everyone was still picking a shot Oscar to win "because" of his size advantage. Which I thought was the point you were arguing against in your initial reply to the guy that said " so were Margarito and Oscar".
I may have read it wrong, sorry for the confusion

People knew that Oscar was declined. But nobody could ever imagine that Oscar would get destroyed by a former Flyweight world champion. Shot or not.

Floyd fought Oscar in second gear and Oscar was the walking dead against Pac. Oscar was no one to brag about for either Mayweather or Pac. Particularly Pac since Oscar was further gone at that point.

Pacquiao came up from Flyweight champion though to destroy Oscar. Shot or not Oscar De La Hoya doesn't lose to an ex flyweight champion.

Pac vs Khan for the middleweight belt would be the biggest joke in boxing history

That's your opinion. I can name other ex flyweights I think would have beaten that version of De La Hoya but that's just my opinion.
