I got a lot of respect for Ed Robinson who always tells it like it is and pulls people up when they don't

    :patsch:patsch

Hearn could put on two 4 rounders and an amateur womans bout as the Joshua undercard and it would still do huge numbers.

Fair point with the magnificent 7 card.

Frank was pretty much finished by then. He was trying to milk the fans at that point. But when they first started you were getting stacked cards of decent fights. Followed by a good main event.

Now your not even getting a decent main event. In hindsight martin is poor. Just watched a fight of his this morning he looks club level at best. Tbf to people there was little footage of him not a case of writing him down at the expense of giving joshua credit.

The philadelphian guy was about half the size. Conor benns debut was against an absolute ham. Groves fought a guy that had no business being in the ring with him. Macklin years past his best. Rose never been any good. Mcdonnells not great to watch.

    Should be things like
    Calum smith v groves
    Joshua v martin
Then other entertaining fighters from the stable.
Even get brook on when he faught bizier.

Either great fighters. Or good fighters with great match ups.

What we re getting is joshua against a club fighter.

And the rest all about 1/20 to win.

Albeit make money if your hearn and the rest. But they re just fleecing the fans now and ruining boxing.

Should always be a good undercard weather its fury v joshua or especially if its martin v joshua.

Most fans would happily pay for it.

Understand that hearn has to make certain people ppv or it wont happen but start paying the right money to get decent opponents.

Anyone like selby. Mcdonnell. Rose. Its maybe just me. But i ve very little interest in them. Neither of them have ever really took off with the fans.

ruining boxing? More brit champions and a huge casual interest that can even make Froch v groves a wembley stadium fight and make millionaires out of below world class fighters. Matchroom are doing a great job

For me they kill every sport they touch stone dead. They drain the soul out of it.

The only folk they appeal to are casuals and Sky/PPV mugus.

Yeah what they've done to pdc darts is terrible right?! Making boxers lots of money and are a big part in a very successful era in british boxing. Stone dead?!

I'm a fan not a boxer, and yes I'd much rather watch BDO darts than pay for ad infested PDC razzamatazz even if the averages are lower.

The undercards need an overhaul- a decent semi-main and a couple of decent 50/50 British Title fights is all that is needed.

The world champions talk is a con. We hardly have a worthy world champion as it is.

Brooks fought one decent opponent. Joshua won his against a club fighter. Only hsd one opponent that has any chance of winning...dillon whyte. The rest were part time fighters. This is martins first camp with an s and c coach tells you what you need to know.

Its not that the standard of boxing in the uks any better. They ve just got much better backing picking off easy oppertunities. Fair play to matchroom they ve done a good job in this regard. They have got boxing buzzing again.

But at the expense of the fans. We shouldnt be paying 20 quid for that last nite.

The main problem is they dont even have any headlining ppv level fighters atm. Rushed joshua into it. But i cant remember any fighter headlining on ppv fighting prospects. Martins not even a good prospect.

Brooks. Degale. Burns. Bellew. Mcdonall. Selby. Crolla. And the rest are poor to watch.

But at least if your gonna have a ppv get them all on...against decent opposition.

No naseems. Ricky hattons. Nigel benns. Just an average stable getting good oppertunities. The talk about the level of british fighters getting better is a marketing myth.
