    I was referring to that hypothetically.

    You could discredit just about everyone if you really want to do that.

    Having the majority of world title defenses during the World War II would be a very good reason to raise some questions, arguably way better than the "weak 2000/10s era" story. :cool:

    You're right but it started with Bowe winning over Holyfield.

    yes he could still win a WBF or WBU title to return up to the same level as his end of the 90s fake WBO title.

    Like to compare them something like:

    Size = Weight*Height*Reach
    Physique = Stamina*Speed*
    Boxing = Technique*Timing*reflexes
    Fighting = Determination*Killer instinct*Focus*heart*

    Klitschko:

    Size: 8/10
    Physique: 9/10
    Boxing: 8/10
    Fighting: 5/10

    Joshua:

    Size: 8/10
    Physique: 10/10
    Boxing: 7/10
    Fighting: 7/10

    Fury:

    Size: 10/10
    Physique: 8/10
    Boxing: 10/10
    Fighting: 8/10

    Martin:

    Size: 7/10
    Physique: 6/10
    Boxing: 7/10
    Fighting: 5/10

    Wilder:

    Size: 7/10
    Physique: 9/10
    Boxing: 7/10
    Fighting: 6/10

    Povetkin:

    Size: 4/10
    Physique: 7/10
    Boxing: 9/10
    Fighting: 8/10

    Hughie Fury:

    Size: 8/10
    Physique: 7/10
    Boxing: 10/10
    Fighting: 6/10

    Prime Lewis:

    Size: 8/10
    Physique: 7/10
    Boxing: 8/10
    Fighting: 7/10

    I'm sorry, but Sanders and Brewster weren't beyond journeyman level. Come on now, Dino.

    -Corrie Sanders was 38 years old and was a regular on the golf course when he derailed Wladimir's ascension. HBO and the Klitschko team were talking Lewis next, then a guy who's partly retired shows up and beats him. Wladimir was steamrolling everybody he faced prior to that huge upset. Sanders is a guy who lost to Nate Tubbs via KO1 during a time when he was more active for crying out loud.

    -Lemon Brewster was a fighter who possessed tremendous heart and will, but he was picked to be a post-Sanders Wlad opponent who Wladimir would look spectacular against (with Steward now in his corner). Wlad did look spectacular... until the pressure and pace got to him. Then he got caught after he gassed out. Another huge upset.

    Both of these guys should've been EASILY defeated by Wladimir, but he lost by stoppage to each of them. Even though Ross "The Boss" Purritty was also a journeyman, I'm giving Wladimir the benefit of the doubt against him. Wlad wasn't in his prime yet when he got knocked out by Ross the Boss. He was on a tear and had over 27+ fights by the time he faced Sanders.

    I think people are too quick to write Wladimir off right now. He still has the ability to make the current crop of HWs "fight his type of fight"... and that works to his advantage in a major way.

    He got badly exposed by Povetkin who i'd rate as his best opponent. That exposed a guy who can't box unless the fight is at a safe distance.
    It exposed how one dimensional and limited he is.

    Real greats come through with shining colors in their biggest fights. Wlad deserved to be DQ'd in his and only won through corrupt officiating.

    Seriously , he won that fight the same way Broner lost to Porter.

    He won by producing Broner's losing performance

    Think about that for a second:think

    You could also draw upon the Haye fight as an exposing.

    Haye was Wlads Spinks.

    Mike bulldozed his Haye in 90s. Albeit a far superior boxer than Haye.

    Wlad went a laborious 12 rounds pecking at Haye and laying all over him when he came close.

    Think about that. Thats like Tyson holding on for dear life against Spinks.

    It should have been Haye looking to hold Wlad in the wheelhouse. Instead it was Haye who was looking to trade punches.

    Joshua and Fury will not get near his championship fight total even if they wanted to, haters can hate, and they will, but he was both a fine ambassador and atg champion. This is a kid who came from nothing and nowhere with his brother and they ducked nobody between them.

    Wlad's style was meant to last that's why he's still relevant when 40. Tyson was a shell of himself in his mid-30s.
