Why was he such a wimp? I watched his Olympic fights back, and he was extremely technically skilled in those; beating the great Russian Lezin (who beat both Klitschko's multiple times), stopping him for the first time ever, etc. Why didn't it work out for him as a pro? He had lengthy spells out with injuries, sure, but when push came to shove, he was too scared to throw punches! Then he got old, and was basically lamb to the slaughter for the Haye, Price and Wilder's. He looked umpteen times better and more skilled than Anthony Joshua in their respective Olympic bouts. I think it was lack of confidence without the head guard.. Let me down a couple of times for a lot of money lol.
Well he actually wanted to continue against Michael Sprott.. ok he got knocked down.. History will look more favourably in the Williams/Guinn/Rogan fights in the future.. I say he won them all.. but history won't agree just yet.. He even complained about the American networks setting him up to fail in the Guinn fight..
He beat Williams the first time.. he beat Guinn the first time.. he would have beat Sprott the first time.. he beat Rogan the first time.. vs. Haye he was very much injured.. Price was a KO of a 40 year old.. can't really complain there.. And my personal view on the Wilder fight.. stopped a bit early.. Audley was on form..
Audley talks about the British promoters screwing him in the Big Brother house.. not just a "Fraudley" conspiracy by all the little Tysons.. But Kellie said they met up.. to discuss it and all that..
He got paid big early..and he was gun shy as a pro. Didn't let his hands go. When he fought on prize fighter against lower tier guys u could see his skills just couldn't so it at the top level
Well he won all the fights leading up to Haye.. If he was in better shape.. he could have done it before he hit 40..
