Neither one of these guys has had anything resembling a tough fight yet. No one's first tough fight should be for a title belt.
Different types of power Joshua is heavy handed clubbing type .Wilder is a one punch sniper similar to hearns or foster .either could KO the other .interesting times ahead.
I'd add Klitschko and Lennox Lewis to that one punch shocking power that you mentioned. Both men had that very athletic, explosive punch (Wlad just a bit more than Lewis according to Steward).
I'd say Joshua hits harder, the way he stopped a durable fighter like Johnson suggests he hits harder of the two. Wilder in recent fights has looked more like an accumulative puncher being taken several rounds. Some will say it was against better opposition but Molina has been KO'ed twice in a round, Szpilka was stopped by light hitting Jennings and was dropped numerous times by Mollo in 2 fights. Wilder hits hard but until he blows out a durable fighter like Johnson as quickly I'd say he doesn't hit as hard as AJ.
No. Joshua has more mass and force behind his punches. How many of Wilder's KO's comes from the straight right? Look against Szpillka, when wilder landed the straight, it had little to no effect. Wilder's money shot is the overhand right - because of a combination of: range, angles and timing - and power as well.
Joshua by far. Wilder has troubles stopping the corpses he faces. Mollo (who?) hurt Spluka with less punches. Even Bryant Jennings, who Wilder religiously refuses to fight in spite of having been proposed to, did a better job with Spiluka. He looked like terminator. Jennings, who's considered not a hard hitter. That guy that's french or canadian, how many punches ate? And he was stopped by the referee, he had no troubles keeping on. What about Stiverne? He ate punches all night long. As clear and heavy as Wilder could land. Wasn't even knocked down once, in spite of being severely dehidrated. This content is protected
Simply no. 220 pounds is nothing compared to 245 pounds, if techniques goes with it. He has great power for an 220 pounder though. And he is great at finding the cerebellum on his victims, with his fast long looping overhand.
Lmao. This is great. Wilder is the worst beholder ever. Drummer boy, a substitute teacher almost had him outta there lol
Joshua hits harder, but Wilder has better footwork, stamina and chin. If I was Wilder, I would rather fight Joshua in the UK than Povetkin in Russia.
Wilder does not have better footwork. Have you even actually seen Wilder fight? His footwork is terrible.
