In 2050 if iam still alive which is doubtful if someone asked me about Vlad I would smile knowingly and say well Sonny he was a boring chinny tw@t and I was glad when when he was beaten so I didn't have to waste my life watching a load of square head fans clapping politely to a heavy metal band as Vlad hugs his way to victory. Then I would stare wistfully out of the Window and demand more incontinence pants.
:good good post. The reason I asked is because you go back 12 months and Wladimir would have been a hot favourite with fans and an odds on favourite with the bookies against Fury and Wilder/Joshua. And those fights are very possible, fights he would have been expected to win comfortably could now completely change his legacy. Isn't it amazing what can change in a year.
Number 1 HW from the Byrd fight to the Povetkin fight. HW champion from the Povetkin fight to the Fury fight. He was incredibly dominant against a vast array of ranked opposition. His style was very unseemly and not very pleasing to the idea but it was damp near unbeatable. Not sure he was ever better than Vitali whilst both were active but he did what Vitali couldn't do and restarted the lineage post Lewis. Chagaev, Haye, Pulev, Povetkin, Byrd, Peter, Ibragimov, these were all top 5 HW men when he faced them and none could figure out his style despite knowing exactly how he would fight. He was the epitome of dominance and I don't hold against him the issue with his brother. He'll go down as one of the most dominant fighters in history, a man who actively sought unification. A man who was very one dimensional. Ultimately he'll go down as a HOF and a great.
Lennox, Wlad and Vitali were the first big men boxers who had all the tools. And they'd be H2H beasts against anyone of any era due to that. His career gets a big stinger due to the losses he suffered earlier in his career, and the bookender to Fury, but on a career basis he's in a similar light/ranking to Lennox Lewis in my view. H2H - I'd have him as one of the Top 5 fighters at HW with potentially only Lennox and Vitali as outright favorites to best him.
Yes.... He beat several very good opponents, and beat them all very convincingly It's rare a champion is ---that---- dominant, for that long And I know some disagree but I don't think he's done yet I see him winning the upcoming rematch
Anybody here think Joshua wills still be holding his belt in 2026? That is what he has to do to equal WK. Fury has already said he's quitting after a few more fights. He is not a real fighting man like K2. :deal
The K Brothers are the top ATG Heavyweight Champions. Lennox Lewis was a bad axx but he was lucky to beat a green Vitali who had no time to prepare for Lewis. Then Lewis ducked both K Brothers. Lewis never even talked about retiring until Vitali exposed him. Lewis knew who the superior men were. The K Brothers were so great they made everybody else look like shxt. They never got credit from blacks because they were knocking out blacks for over a decade. Blacks also cant stand them because a white English man dethroned them. As you read now the blacks call Fury garbage. That belt Joshua is now wearing is Fury's belt fair and square. Wladimer was the number 1 contender for two years and Lewis ducked him. Wladimer was the most dominant Heavyweight Champion ever and his big brother was even better. SLAVIC POWER
who is green in their 30s? are you claiming that vitali was such a returded developer that he was still a green kid in his 30s? if you think vits was such a uniquely slow developer, why do you have him as an ATG? You make no sense.
