First of all let me say that im glad Pac retired om a win over a top welterweight. Its good to see an ATG retire on a win amd i hope he doesnt come back, specially if its for money. But now my question, why do people like to pretend that Floyd is still prime? after this win pac****s keep saying that a prime pac would beat floyd because the pac that lost was shot. However that floyd also wasnt prime, the guy is near 40!

When you fight part time take a 2 year retirement you do t have the same wear and tear as someone who's been fighting since he was 16

You guys argue who was more unprime which is stupid.. Neither was prime for a while and that's all that matters for real...

Thats very true but lets not forget floyd has been fighting since he was 5 not 16. obviously amateur isnt the same but its still adding wear and tear to the body.

Different fighters age differently. Look how well Hopkins aged compared to Jones.

Floyd's style naturally ages better then Pacquiao who relies a lot on his natural talents. It doesn't help that he's been in wars and taken punishment in his career, and just recently KO'd cold.

they may age better but that doesnt mean that they stay prime, also you cant compare floyd to hopkims because floyds style relies on reflexes. For example his pull back counter hasnt been as effective

Because it fits their rhetoric in trying to discredit him to make their fighter look better, ultimately. It's the same **** every day for different fighters, from different posters, trying to make their nutsack ride look less desperate.

Floyd's mental and physical prime probably coincided around 2001-2006 in my view, it was when he still had power for the weight he was at, could actively back people off of him and was able to be more aggressive.

Post 2005, at 147/154 - his KO percentage plummeted and he struggled with the types of fighters he would've bullied earlier. His advantage at that point was his ring generalship and technical abilities, not to mention single shot hand speed which he maintained an edge over almost everyone he faced except Judah, who he just outfoxed.

I'd have loved to see 135lb Floyd vs 135lb Pacquaio.

Both Floyd and Pacquiao are years past their primes.

Pacquiao was more past his prime than Floyd, due to styles and the fact that he'd been KO'd badly by Marquez.

A little guy like Pacquiao fighting in his style against bigger men, it's amazing that he lasted so long.
Floyd's longevity is amazing too but his style of boxing tends to favour longer prime and longer career.

Are you stupid or are you new to boxing? Floyds main weapons in the berto fight were the pull counter, the jab to the body, and the lead left hook.....

In floyds entire career, the only orthodox fighter who was able to neutralize his pull counter was canelo.

Floyd is near prime thanks to a ridiculously effective doping program. Dude is blazing fast and does not tire. Ever.

What's with the insults? He's right, his pull counter hasn't been as effective as in the past.
